Probabilistic relational databases (PDB) have extended from the relational database model by incorporating probability measures to capture the data uncertainty associated with data items. There are many useful applications have been studied such as consolidation the results of market surveys for many major industries; improving internet comparison shopping; consolidating crime-fighting information from different witnesses. In BioCom'08, we have applied the probabilistic relational database techniques to the area of biomedical informatics. In this paper, we further present a software system development for probabilistic relational database web-based applications and services. Our discussions are focused on more biomedical informatics applications such as disease analysis, control and prevention; data mining and discovery on medical records; hospital information management.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
