In the title structure, C10H26N2O22+·2NO3−, the ethambutol molecule exists in the cationic form, having two protonated amine groups, and is charge‐balanced by two nitrate anions. In the crystal structure, a two‐dimensional network is formed via intermolecular O—H⋯O and N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds.
The racemization of R-(-)-2-amino-1-butanol in a reaction using Co/γ-Al 2 O 3 catalysts and catalysts modified by Mg or Ca was investigated in this paper. Complete racemization was achieved with a yield of over 83% at using the Mg modified Co/γ-Al 2 O 3 catalyst under optimized reaction conditions of 170 o C and 2.5 MPa of H 2 . The catalysts were thoroughly characterized by XRD, XPS, TPR, SEM and TEM. The addition of Mg and Ca may be advantageous for dispersing and stabilizing the active species of the Co/γ-Al 2 O 3 catalyst, protecting from sintering, significantly improving its catalytic activity and stability.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
