The distinct beneficial effect of Zn-doping on the OER alkaline activity of Fe-based catalysts points towards an alternative and faster two-site mechanism.
We calculate the diffusion coefficients of persistent random walks on cubic and hypercubic lattices, where the direction of a walker at a given step depends on the memory of one or two previous steps. These results are then applied to study a billiard model, namely a three-dimensional periodic Lorentz gas. The geometry of the model is studied in order to find the regimes in which it exhibits normal diffusion. In this regime, we calculate numerically the transition probabilities between cells to compare the persistent random-walk approximation with simulation results for the diffusion coefficient.Submitted to: J. scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
