This article discusses the problem of understanding decor and decorativeness in modern architecture and interior design. Except the traditional representation of decor as decoration, and an additional, unimportant part of the external and internal space of buildings, there is a broader and more complex concept of decor as the entire non-constructive part of a building. It has been established that in modern interiors the decor at the level of four main indicators is actively manifested. This construction / shape, material of manufacture / decoration, technique / technology of creation, lighting. Each of these indicators has unique characteristics. For example, the constructions have proportionality, streamlining, geometrization, symmetry, asymmetry. The material has texture, texture, color, etc. Let’s pay attention to the fact that the decor, if you look at it widely, it is directly related to the category of style. It seems that decor in interior design is a kind of way of materializing style. It is a tool that makes aesthetic representations of beauty and harmony real. It has been established that decorativeness is different. The decor is a system of elements that are united by a single artistic idea. The style orientation depends from changes in decorative elements in interior design. The free use of various style elements in modern interiors allows expressing the creative approach of the designer and the tastes of the customer. Style elements also open wide possibilities for choosing the design of the space, i.e. its decoration in a broad term. Thus, decor can be considered as one of the keyways of shaping style in a modern interior. The proposed concept allows you to expand your understanding of decor in art.
The article the problem of landscaping (greening) retaining walls in Vladivostok is considered. The Vladivostok city is in a territory with a monsoon climate has a difficult relief. Therefore, the city has many high vertical retaining walls that support the formation of terraces and horizontal surfaces. The vertical retaining walls areas in the city are comparable to the area of facades of buildings. These walls are currently mostly not landscaped (greened). Natural colors and texture these walls are not expressive and don’t contribute to the formation of an integral visual environment of the city. It was found that; problem can be solved as a result of an integrated approach with the help of full or partial greening of retaining walls. Here the types and examples of stationary and mobile greening of the Vladivostok city retaining walls are presented. A number of plants that can be used for landscaping urban retaining walls have been identified. The proposed concept contributes to solving local problems of landscaping (greening) individual urban objects. It’s also expands the possibilities of forming for a holistic concept of greening in the Vladivostok.
Today, university campuses are not only part of the university, but also part of the public space. The importance of these territories as an ecological, recreational and socio-cultural urban object is constantly increasing, which requires special attention to the appearance of both educational and administrative buildings and adjacent garden and park areas. The subject of the study was the possibility of aestheticizing park areas located around utilitarian objects of university campuses (parking lots, boiler rooms, technical warehouses, etc. objects). Traditionally, not enough attention is paid to these spaces. Using the example of the design concept of the reconstruction of the park parking area of the FEFU campus, the article presents a number of project proposals that contribute to the aestheticization of the space around these utilitarian university facilities. As a result of the study, it was found that due to the peculiarities of the relief, microclimate, as well as the existing layout, traditional gardening techniques are not effective and alternative solutions are required. 1. As the main artistic technique, it is proposed to use the principle of "alleyness" to give the integrity of the previously designed disparate sectors of the garden and park area around the parking lot. 2. The main decorative element selected art objects in the form of unique arches on the high points of the sectors, which are connected by paths surrounded by greenery. 3. The stone is used as a decorative element. Stone lawns are an important part of the design of the territories adjacent to the parking lot, solving the problem of freezing, burning out lawn covering. As a result, the formed park area with attractive artistic elements will bring the necessary aestheticization around the parking lot and create a visual dominant. The proposed solutions can be adapted to other objects of the university environment that are experiencing similar problems.
Seeding of watermelons in the dried up soil are accompanied by a delay of shoots and even destruction of a part of plants. In an initial stage of growth and development watermelons are very water consuming. In this connection directions of scientific researches and constructive workings out on perfection of technology and means of preparation and crops of seeds of watermelons in the conditions of a droughty climate represent rather actual problem of an agricultural production.
