The implementation of this socialization is to carry out the Tri dharma of Higher Education, namely carrying out “Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM)” activities and compiling scientific journals. In addition, the purpose of this activity is to provide education to the Zaadul Ma'ad Islamic Boarding School regarding health and safety campaigns to improve the safety management system in the Islamic Boarding School environment. Matters related to the safety management system need to be socialized so that they can be applied in the environment so that unintentionally dangerous things can be avoided or handled quickly. The socialization method used was exposure by resource persons and discussions with students at the Zaadul Ma'ad Islamic boarding school in Palembang. The results obtained from this socialization are expected for the participants to understand the importance of a health and safety campaign in the environment around the airport to avoid risks. Then the results of the socialization were published on the Palembang Aviation Polytechnic social media and the PKM journal of the Palembang Aviation Polytechnic.
This study aims to analyze the needs of an online learning system based on MOOCs at Poltekbang Palembang. This type of research is survey research which can later become the basis for further development research. The research instrument used was a needs analysis questionnaire with 21 questions given to 115 respondents who were students of the Palembang Poltekbang. In this study, data analysis used descriptive statistics. Based on the results of the data obtained, it can be concluded that currently, students need an online learning system based on MOOCs. It is based on the data obtained from all statements regarding the needs of Palembang Poltekbang students for effective online learning. Almost all of them were answered, with the most significant percentage being in the answer choices strongly agree and agree. Students need the points offered in each statement that they fill out on the needs questionnaire sheet. The Va value of 3.4339 was also obtained from the data obtained, which entered the valid category. While the reliability value obtained is 0.91, and the value is greater than r table for df = 113, which is 0.1832 because rcountrtable, then it is included in the reliable category.
The demand for air transportation from year to year until 2018 continues to increase. However, in 2019 it decreased as a result of the increase in air ticket fares, as well as in 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Although demand is experiencing a decline, knowing airport capacity is important in airport planning, which is one of the disciplines studied in airport management. Therefore, this research aims to estimate the saturation capacity of the runway at Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin International Airport (SMB) II, using the method developed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and specified in the Advisory Circular 150/5060-5. The results of this study can be used as study material in learning the field of airport management science. Based on the data obtained and processed, the results show that the saturation capacity of the runway per hour for runway 11 directions is 53 for Visual Flight Rules (VFR) and 49 Instrument Flight Rules (IFR). Meanwhile, the direction of runway 29 is 50 in VFR conditions and 46 in IFR conditions. So that the average saturation capacity for both runway directions is 51 in VFR conditions and 48 in IFR conditions. This runway capacity calculation method cannot accommodate differences in the flight separation rules applied, so that this capacity will be achieved if Airnav Indonesia, Palembang Branch as the manager of flight navigation services at SMB II Airport applies the same rules as the FAA. The currently applied separation rules are relatively larger than those set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and also the FAA. As an ICAO member country, it is still possible to lower the separation rules set by ICAO to increase runway capacity.The conclusions of the research have been obtained from the analysis of the saturated capacity of the runway based on the advisory circular 150/5060-5 which has been used as a study material for learning in the field of airport management science.
Beberapa kasus pelanggaran terhadap Daerah Keamanan Terbatas masih sering terjadi, menunjukan bahwa perlunya upaya peningkatan keamanan daerah keamanan terbatas melalui penambahan sarana-prasana, maupun pelatihan bagi personil yang menangani keamanan penerbangan. Oleh karena itu, Politeknik Penerbangan Palembang bekerjasama dengan UPBU Ranai-Natuna melaksanakan pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui pelatihan security awareness bagi pegawai honorer UPBU Ranai-Natuna. Adapun tujuan dari pelatihan ini adalah para peserta mampu meningkatkan kesadaran akan pentingnya keamanan, mengenali segala bentuk ancaman dan mengantisipasi/menanggulangi ancaman di lingkungan bandar udara. Kegiatan dilaksanakan selama 3 (tiga) hari, dari tanggal 1 sampai dengan 3 Desember 2020, di UPBU Ranai-Natuna, yang diikuti oleh 20 orang pegawai honorer UPBU Ranai-Natuna. Hasil dari kegiatan ini, dapat disimpulkan pelatihan security awareness berjalan dengan baik dan berhasil mencapai tujuan pelatihan, yang dibuktikan dengan seluruh peserta dinyatakan lulus. Hasil evaluasi yang diperoleh dari kuisioner kepada para peserta mendapatkan penilaian baik pada unsur instruktur, dan cukup pada unsur pelayanan panitia penyelenggara dan kurikulum diklat. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa instruktur merupakan faktor penentu utama keberhasilan peserta dalam mengikuti pelatihan dan kulitas layanan panitia penyelenggara masih perlu ditingkatkan.
This research aims to analyze the importance of scientific work skills in aviation vocational education in Indonesia using the Rasch Model. This research applies a mixed research methodology. The data collection tool in this study used reasoned test questions to uncover the argument skills of aviation vocational education cadets in Indonesia. The population taken in this study is aviation vocational education cadets in Indonesia. Sampling using purposive sampling techniques. The results of the analysis of reasoned question-answer analysis data entered with questionnaires are processed using the Winstep and Rasch Model applications. Analysis of cadet argumentation data is obtained at level 2 of 4 maximum levels. Argument skills at level 2 mean claiming with data. The results of deepening the scientific arguments of cadets obtained an alpha Cronbach value of 0.96 which belongs to a special category. The conclusion of Rasch model research applied to vocational education obtained cadet's argument skills on the plurality of claims with data.
