Background:Background: Acquired inhibitors against Factor V (FV) are a very unusual, being its incidence: 0.09-0.29 cases/10 6 inhabitants/year, although it may be underestimated. A non-negligible percentage of cases are related to autoimmune diseases, pregnancy, malignant diseases, infections, as well as antibiotics and idiopathics causes. FV inhibitors may debut as thrombosis or be discovered incidentally in blood clotting tests. Antibodies against FV are usually IgG-type, although IgM-type may also occur. Management involves both controlling hemostasis and eradication of the inhibitor.
