Adiwana Unagi Suites is one of the most affected businesses in the hospitality sector during the Covid-19 period, but it is one of the hotels that can survive in Ubud Bali. This hotel has a very high score of 9.6 on booking.com, but throughout 2020 there were several reviews stating that the English of the hotel staff was not good. As long as the hotel is open until the end of 2020 the management has never carried out English language training to hotel staff. The implementation of the English for Specific Purposes training was carried out using an experimental research study which was carried out for six months, from January to June 2020. The implementation was carried out using youtube as a learning medium, and other online platforms such as kahoot, google form and live worksheets. The results of the implementation of the English language training carried out showed progress where during 2020 there was never a tourist review stating a lack of English, as well as an increase in English language skills as indicated by a very significant increase in post-test scores, as well as positive feedback from management.
Song is a part of a person that can influence the emotions and thoughts. Nowdays millennial generation really like songs both to listen to and sing, especially western songs that are currently become hits songs. Previous studies have examined a lot about the effectiveness of using songs in learning English for young children. In this study, the authors wanted to examine the extent to which STMIK STIKOM Indonesia students' interest in learning English vocabulary through western hits songs, how to implement it properly, and how much effectiveness of using songs in learning English vocabulary. This study was designed using descriptive analysis through a linguistic approach.
The current generation that is known as the millennium generation is synonymous with technological and educational developments. This phenomenon is a strategy that can be used by advocates of foreign languages, especially English in packaging a material to be taught. One of the choices is the use of youtube online videos as supporting teaching materials. The technology is very easy to access, especially STMIK STIKOM Indonesia students, where almost all students have the youtube application. This study uses a qualitative description analysis method to see how attractive YouTube videos are among students, as well as video criteria that are considered interesting by them. The results of the study are packaging of youtube online videos that are tailored to the teaching material delivered to STMIK STIKOM Indonesia students, as the lecturers' handlers and student references in their own creative learning.
Perkembangan teknologi industri 4.0 yang berdampak pada disrupsi teknologi pada berbagai bidang, contohnya bidang pendidikan. Dengan memahami literasi digital tentang implementasi teknologi informasi dan komunikasi dalam bidang pendidikan tentunya teknologi dapat menjadi pendukung utama dalam proses pembelajaran di sekolah khususnya pada SDN 6 Desa Pecatu. Siswa telah mendapatkan fasilitas untuk pembelajaran teknologi informasi dan komunikasi khususnya komputer dasar. Namun belum dimaksimalkan dikarenakan kemampuan dan kecakapan siswa dalam menggunakan aplikasi masih sangat kurang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi kepada guru dan siswa dalam mengetahui aplikasi pendukung proses pembelajaran yaitu Microsoft office word. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan responden 15 siswa kelas V dan VI SD N 6 Desa pecatu. Hasil penelitian dengan menerapkan tahapan implementasi TIK pada bidang pendidikan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman dan kecakapan siswa dalam penggunakan teknologi serta peningkatan wawasan terhadap literasi digital.
