There is a shift in organizational focus from purely economic and social activities towards spiritual development. This phenomenon places spirituality as part of the development of holistic human resources. This study examined workplace spirituality's role as a mediating variable in the spiritual relationship of leadership and organizational commitment. The survey was conducted on 200 employees in three public sector organizations in Bali Province, Indonesia. The data analysis used the Partial Least Square (PLS) approach. The results show that workplace spirituality can mediate the effect of spiritual leadership on organizational commitment. Theoretically, the findings imply that workplace spirituality is one of the factors considered in organizational theory. Practically, this finding provides insight into the leadership to pay attention to the employee's spiritual needs. The results have implications for policymakers to support and develop spirituality practices in the workplace.
Organizational culture as the values, principles, traditions and ways of working shared by members of the organization and affect the way they act. Organizational commitment has an important role of employee performance. The commitment can be realized if the individual in the organization, running their rights and obligations according to their duties and functions and functions within the organization, because the achievement of organizational goals is the work of all members of the organization that are collective Vipraprastha, Sudja, & Yuesti (2018). Respondents in this study are Civil Servants (PNS) at least have been working for 2 years. The number of respondents in this study were 86 respondents using Nonprobability technique that is saturated samples or often called total sampling. This research uses SMARTPLS 3 Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis. The results of this study indicate that: 1) organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB); 2) Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) has positive and significant impact on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB); 3) Organizational Citizenship Behavior employee, 4) organizational culture has a positive effect on the performance of employees, either partially or through Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB), 5) Organizational commitment has no effect on employee performance.
Research about sustainable performance and its impact on the organization’s economic, social, and environmental development has attracted the attention of many scholars. However, the research investigating the relationship between sustainable performance from traditional organizations based on local culture is still underdeveloped. This study aimed to examine the relationship among organizational culture and leadership styles with knowledge management and sustainable performance. Moreover, this study investigates knowledge management’s role as a mediating variable in the relationship between organizational culture, leadership style, and sustainable performance. This study adopted a quantitative approach using the purposive sampling method with a questionnaire distributed to 99 respondents in Bali Province, Indonesia. The analysis technique was SEM-PLS. The results revealed that organizational culture and transformational leadership have significant effects on knowledge management. This study also proves that knowledge management mediates the relationship between organizational culture and sustainable performance, as well as the relationship between leadership style and sustainable performance. Theoretically, this study confirms the knowledge-based theory about knowledge management practices and sustainability performance. The present study also highlights the characteristics of organizational culture in traditional organizations and the effectiveness of transformational leadership to achieve sustainable organizational performance. Practically, the results provide insights to aid governments and regulators in continuously implementing knowledge management to achieve sustainable performance.
Research on career development and organizational culture on performance with work motivation as intervening variable is done at cooperative located in Pedungan village of South Denpasar Pedungan Village is a village located in South Denpasar District, Denpasar City, Bali Province. The development of cooperatives is currently supported by the development of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The number of cooperatives in the village pedungan is 33 cooperatives with the total number of employees is 338 employees. The purpose of this study is to know and examine the influence of career development on employee performance in cooperative in rural village, To know and test the influence of organizational culture on employee performance in cooperative in rural village, to know and test the influence of career development on employee motivation at cooperative in to know and examine the influence of organizational culture on employee motivation in cooperative in rural village, To know and to test influence of work motivation to employees performance at Cooperative in rural village. This research is a quantitative research using primary data obtained from the questionnaire and measured by using Likert scale. The population of this research is employees at Cooperative in rural village as many as 85 people. The method of selecting the sample of this study using Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling is this technique is used when the population has members who are not homogeneous and stratified proportionally. Data analysis technique used in this research is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Square (PLS) using SmartPLS 3.0 program. The result of the research shows that (1) career development has positive and significant effect to work motivation, (2) organizational culture have positive and significant effect to work motivation, (3) career development have positive and significant effect to employee performance, (4) and (5) the influence of mediation of work motivation variable on indirect influence of career development on partial performance, and (7) influence of mediation of work motivation variable on the influence of unbalanced direct organizational culture to performance is partial
Government officials regions must have the maximum capacity in managing human resources in their regions. Local governments, either individually, in groups or institutions, are trying to improve the quality and quantity of work in order to improve their performance. This study aims to determine the effect of leadership style, competence on organizational commitment. To determine the effect of leadership style, competence and commitment to performance. To find out the role of organizational commitment in mediating the influence of leadership style and competence on performance at the Office of Investment and One Stop Services (DPMPTSP) Denpasar City Bali, Indonesia. Data collection using a questionnaire. The number of samples used was 77 people using purposive sampling method. The data analysis technique used SEM-PLS. The results showed that leadership style had a positive effect on organizational commitment. Competence has a positive effect on commitment organizational, leadership style has a positive effect on employee performance, competence has a positive effect on employee performance, organizational commitment has a positive effect on employee performance, organizational commitment can mediate the influence of leadership style on employee performance, organizational commitment can mediate the influence of competence on employee performance.
