Oral mucosal epithelia as other types of mucosal epithelia are known traditionally as protective tissues. In the present mini-review, attempts were made to introduce oral epithelia as non-lymphoid, non-myeloid tissue with immune potentials. Today, opinions holds the believe that oral epithelial cells have TLR system and can recognize microbial invaders. Microbial invaders in turn, induce epithelia to produce pro-inflammatory TH1, TH2 cytokines and Chemokines. The induction processes described as species and strain specific. Natural epithelial cytokine production has been assured by a number of in-vitro models. Oral epithelial cytokine interplayed several immune functions like regulation of local immune responses, mediate autoimmune disease and induce tissue damage in case of increased secretion. They express multi-factorial influences on mucosal immune compartment, be an integral part of the local innate immune responses and might have a future implication in vaccine immunity.
Chicken thymus glands were collected from three weeks old chicken through standard manual dissection technique .The glands were minced ,mortared ,centrifuged at 5000 RPM for 15 min .and supernatant was saved .Thymic protein were separated by PEG 6%( M.w 6000) solution .This protein is designed as chicken thymic protein (CTP). CTP was used a test immunogen and sensitizer .As an immunogen it was used in concentration ,1.1g/land 0.55 g/l for priming of rabbits using multi site injection protocol with Freunds complete adjuvant .Passive haemagglutination ,NBT ,LIF ,E-rosette and skin test were made on CTP primed rabbits and controls.It was found that CTP could acts as humoral immunogen ,T cell suppressor and LIF cytokine inducer. Thus CTP may contain lapin immunoregulatory protein
Since the down of human civilization that might begin with Chinese and Indian tradition in curing human as well as animal diseases they had had been using variety of remedies (Therapeutics) originated from both animal and plant resources. The human need for ther-apeutics led him almost always searching for new preparations. Now it is being an opportunity to gather hetero-genus preparations in a group-wise fashion as that of vaccine like, standard or standardized immune-biologics which have some features of vaccines in one proposed group designated as therapeutic vaccine allied biologics(TVAB) .To date it is being evident the proposal holding that at least there are five classes of(TVAB) available both at experimental level and to a lesser extent to the level of clinical use .The classes are as; cellular secretions(cytokines ,antibodies) ,receptor-anti-receptor(immune check point inhibitors) , subunit macromolecules (Beta Glucan) and commensal microbiome(probiotics) and Bacterio-therapeutics(cancer killing bacteria). These proposed classes were evaluated by vaccine criteria as well as by a group specific special evaluation criteria ,collectively ,it is being a state of developing a novel evaluation system. They are helpful as therapeutics for ;microbial ,envenomation ,immune mediated and neoplastic diseases with variable degrees of success .
