Nutrition is an important part of growth and development, because there is a connection and is related to health and intelligence, malnutrition. Stunting is a linear growth disorder that can affect the increased risk of illness, death, and impaired late motor development, and stunted mental growth. The type of this research is analytic observational with cross sectional study approach. The population in this study were all children under five in the work area of Kawangkoan Health Center in Minahasa Regency. Children under five 2-5 years. The respondent is mother. The number of samples of this study amounted to 41 people with a sampling technique that is using simple random sampling technique. The results of research on the level of maternal knowledge of 41 respondents were 39.0% who lacked knowledge, and 41.5% had sufficient knowledge, while 19.5% had good knowledge. the rate of exclusive breastfeeding is 41.5% which is less than exclusive breastfeeding, while 39.0% is good, 19.5% is enough to provide exclusive breastfeeding. Toddler respondents who have normal height category are 46%, and category is very short, 31.7%, while the short category is 22.0%. kawangkoan health center.
Diabetes mellitus is very influential on the quality of human resources and has a significant impact on health costs. This diabetes mellitus cannot heal but can only be controlled. Patients with diabetes mellitus are not able to produce enough insulin or do not use it effectively so that there is excess glucose in the blood. One of the factors that triggers glucose is an unhealthy diet such as rarely consuming fiber, as well as consuming micronutrients, including magnesium. The general objective of this study was to determine the effect of fiber and magnesium intake with fasting blood glucose levels in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients at Pancaran Kasih General Hospital GMIM Manado. This research method using cross sectional design by purposive sampling. Data collection about the intake of fiber and magnesium using the 24-hour recall and the results of the examination of fasting blood glucose levels were taken through the medical record of the patient. Analyst data using logistic regression analysis. Based on data analysis using Fisher's Exact Test, showed P value = <0.05 / P = 0.013 means that there is a relationship between fiber intake and fasting blood glucose levels. While the results of data analysis using Fisher's Exact Test, showed P value => 0.05 / P = 0.61, meaning that there was no correlation between magnesium intake and fasting blood glucose levels. It can be concluded that there is a relationship between fiber intake and blood glucose levels. There is no relationship between magnesium intake and fasting blood glucose levels.
The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between diet and physical activity on blood sugar levels of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus patients at Pancaran Kasih Hospital in Manado City and the results of this study can be used as input material for patients to be able to maintain their diet and regulate physical activity to control blood sugar levels remain at normal limits. Diabetes mellitus is a chronic condition where the body cannot or does not produce insulin optimally. The study design used was a type of observational study with a cross sectional approach to determine the relationship between risk factors and disease. In this study used 2 independent variables, namely diet and physical activity and the dependent variable Diabetes Mellitus. The method of taking samples is using purposive sampling in accordance with the proposed inclusion and exclusion criteria. The samples needed in this study were 41 people determined by the Slovin formula. From the results of this study note that eating patterns have a value of p = 0.00, p <0.05 which means there is a significant relationship with eating patterns with blood sugar levels of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus patients. Results of physical activity p = 0.03, p < 0.05 which means there is a significant relationship between physical activity and blood sugar levels in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus patients at Pancaran Kasih Hospital in Manado City.
Obest or obesity is the term used to show the accumulation of body fat that exceeds the normal limit. Excessive accumulation of body fat can often seem reluctant easily. People who are overweight are more receptive than normal weight people to external hunger cues, such as food taste and smell, or time to eat. Fat people tend to eat if they feel like eating, not eating when they are hungry. The type of research used was analytic observational research with cross sectional design. The population in this study were all students at Tomohon Christian High School 1 which was 1063 students. The sample was calculated in Slovak with a total of 43 students. Primary data is data about diet and the level of nutritional knowledge collected directly during the research. In this study most have a moderate level of knowledge with a total of 20 people (46.5%), a good level of knowledge of 20 people (32.6%), and less knowledge level of 9 people (20.9%).The results of the analysis using statistical test fisherexacttest with a value of p <0.05, which means there is a significant relationship between intake of levels of nutritional knowledge with obesity.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
