This paper presents research results of the working processes in aviation combined gas-turbine engine equipped with solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC). It is shown that the efficiency of the engine is higher than the initial gas-turbine one, and it significantly increases in the use of alternative fuels (liquefied natural gas or liquid hydrogen). However volume-mass parameters of the new engine are worse than that of the gas turbine, but when using the promising technologies of SOFC production development of the aviation engines with SOFC is possible.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
