The article is devoted to the urgent topic of using new modern information technologies in lessons in general and in the Ukrainian language lessons in particular. The authors of the article prove that multimedia presentations have become one of the most popular ways of visual accompaniment in the presentation of theoretical material. In the article the authors analyze the results of the external independent evaluation (EIE) of the Ukrainian language and literature from 2015 to 2018 as well as online testing results of students from the Australian, Canadian and Polish diasporas on the level of Ukrainian language proficiency. According to this analysis it is determined that the level of knowledge on this subject deteriorates every year. Relying on these statistics, scientists have proved the need to improve the quality of knowledge using multimedia presentations, which provide more effective perception of educational information by helping students to visualize it. The researchers have proved the effectiveness of using the PowToon service in teaching philological disciplines in the educational process. This article is a practical step-by-step assistant for teachers and academic staff in creating a scribe-presentation. The authors have analyzed in detail the peculiarities of the methodological approaches that are worth using for effective implementation of PowToon and PowerPoint in the educational process (competence (the ability to actualize available knowledge, skills, experience to solve the difficult tasks in professional activities), systemic (forms the relationship in the study of philology disciplines, systematizes and structures complex information, using them in teaching), informative (use of information and communication technologies in the study of philology disciplines). The effectiveness of using online (PowToon) and offline (PowerPoint) services to create multimedia presentations has been compared. The key stages of the scribe and the advantages of the scribe-presentation have been considered. Taking into account that information is absorbed and reproduced better when it is visualized, that is, through visual perception, therefore, it is proved that use of PowToon service is accompanied by positive emotions and high indicators in the students’ learning outcomes. It is confirmed by a reflection questionnaire at the end of the lesson. The questionnaire consists of five questions and is evaluated on a 10-point scale. After analyzing the responses to the questionnaire the authors have come to the conclusion that the use of the script-presentations has a better influence on the perception of new visual information; increases the motivation for learning, interest in a subject that prompts subjects of the educational process to develop their creative projects and use their knowledge in everyday life; saves teachers’ time while preparing for a lesson; inspires teachers and academic staff to give unusual lessons and provide new interesting teaching ideas, as well as create integrated lessons.
This article studies the measures to increase motivation of the first-year students in terms of health-preserving activity. The study involved first-year students of various specialties of H. S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University (Ukraine). The study was performed in three stages. At the first stage, we conducted an anonymous test to determine the motivation of future professionals towards health-preserving activity, the results of which has shown, that 46% of students had a low level and did not have a need for health care; they were not motivated to a healthy lifestyle, while having harmful habits, 35% of students had an average level and were willing to take measures to support their health. And only 19% had a higher level of motivation for health-preserving activitie. At the second stage in the educational process the formation of sustainable motivation and values to health-preserving activities was provided by non-traditional lectures (problem-solving lectures, lectures-presentations, lectures-discussions, organization of practical and seminar classes using innovative teaching methods, organization of educational activities). As an outcome of conducted activities we arranged an anonymous survey among students, the results of which has shown that the level of students motivated to health-preserving activities has increased. 30% of students had a high level of motivation. The majority of students (48%) had an average level of motivation for health-preserving activities and expressed a desire to be engaged in health activities. Students who had a low level of motivation also reconsidered their habits and began to pay attention towards their own health support. Their number decreased to 22%. This indicates the effectiveness of various measures in the educational process to increase student motivation for health-preserving activities. Such data indicates on the effectiveness of health activities support during the educational and training activities of students.
The use of online technology of an experimental, gaming, competitive nature helps unite the virtual context and the acquisition of analytical skills in an environment, where personal communication is impossible, and the learning process requires high-quality preparation and understanding of the level of acquisition of speech skills. Studies show that within the conditions of distance learning of language and literature teachers (philologists), special difficulties are caused by the study of new technologies related to speech practice, stylistics, text creation; the reason for this is the insufficient number of group and heuristic activities, work in pairs, lack of sufficient speech practice of high communicative and intellectual level. Online quizzes as a technology of competition, games aims to increase the register, level and intensity of communication; they can potentially overcome the lack of authentic communication and academic traditions in the training of philologists. The purpose of this study is to show the prospects for the use of modern information and computer technologies. Intensive informatization of the educational process has its own organizational specifics: the willingness and availability of technical capabilities not only for students - philologists, but also for the teaching staff of universities and administrations. The condition for successful informatization is the ability of teachers to effectively use all available potential. The study focuses on the use and scope, difficulties in implementing information and communication technologies, and separate competitive interactive forms in higher education of language and literature teachers in terms of distance education.
This research aimed to identify the basic problems and gaps in the process of introducing information and communication systems and technologies in institutions of higher professional education and to outline the possibilities of their later use as the main component of e-education. Research methods: systematization, generalization, comparative analysis, systems analysis, logical approach, synthesis. Results. Based on the analysis of the results of the introduction of information and communication technologies during the organization of training in higher professional education establishments, the urgency of using information technology training technologies was proven; the advantages and disadvantages of e-learning and distance (distance) education platforms were considered; it was distinguished which technical means of information communication systems and technologies were most effective under the condition of a rational combination of the most recent and traditionally existing means of teaching.
