Elderly was the final stage of the human life cycle. The humans would surely experience change physically and mentally. The physiological needs were a very primary need and absolutely ought to be fulfilled to maintain biological homeostasis and survival for each human being. The research was intended to explore physiological and psychosocial changes occurred in the elderly and the health intervention model. It was most likely to be received by the elderly in Tabanan Regency, Bali Province. A qualitative method was applied in the present study based on the phenomenological design approach. The sample in the present study was taken a maximum variation. The research subject displayed many variations, data collection was obtained from in-depth interviewed, focused group discussions and observation. The results of the study indicated that the respondents had experienced physiological change. The more age cause of the ability and distrust of others towards the expressed diseases. The research was expected to improve the quality of the old life, depending on health aspects. It, therefore, was very important to develop an elderly health intervention program. It was designed to their needs and desires. The program would be easily accepted if they really thought was important.
Radio over fiber (RoF) system with the coherent detection offers high linearity for the transparent transport of high-frequency microwave signals, and better receiver sensitivity compared with intensity-modulated direct detection systems. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the performance of digital modulation for coherent detection of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) scheme on RoF system at 10 Gbps up to 100 km fiber length. The results show that coherent detection of OFDM-RoF system with 16 quadrature amplitude modulation (16-QAM) has the value of bit error rate (BER) and the symbol error rate (SER) is very low and its constellation is better compared with other modulation formats (4-QAM, quadrature phase shift keying (QPSK), 8-PSK and 16-PSK), which BER 16-QAM is 0.053 and SER is 15.7%. The results also show that BER value of 4-QAM and QPSK relatively similar to fiber length variations. In general, an increasing value of the BER and SER for each modulation format are almost equal to the fiber length of 60-70 km (Region I and II). However, there is a significant increase in the value of BER in fiber length of 80-100 km (Region III. A and III. B) for the modulation of 4-QAM, QPSK, 8-PSK, and 16-PSK.
This study aims to determine the effect of budgetary participation, information asymmetry, budget pressure, and organizational commitment to budgetary slack. Population in this research is all government institution in Banyumas Regency. The sample selection was conducted by census method. Dependent variable used in this research is budget slack, while the independent variable used in this research is budget participation, information asymmetry, budget pressure, and organizational commitment. The data has been collected through questionnaires, then processed with the help of SPSS software. Based on the results of multiple linear regression analysis concluded that budgetary participation, information asymmetry, and organizational commitment affect the budget slack while budget pressure has no effect. The results of this study increasingly complement previous studies in the field of management accounting, especially in the scope of budgeting.
Background: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) was a non-communicable disease, which became the third cause of death after stroke and hypertension with a number of cases continue to increase. Objective:The research objective was to analyze the relationship between the spiritual level, self-esteem, and depression in patients with diabetes mellitus. The present research was design/drafting correlational studies. Methods: The model approach towards the subject of research conducted by cross-sectional. The research was conducted at the health center IV South Denpasar for five months. The study population was patients with DM and patients at high risk who went to the health center IV South Denpasar. The samples which selected which met the inclusion criteria and exclusion amounted to 41 people. Results: Based on the results of the analysis was obtained that there was a significant negative relationship between the spiritual level to the level of depression shown by the p-value = 0.018 (p <0.05). The hypothesis thereby was accepted. Conclusion: the low spiritual level would be followed by the high rate of depression. Conversely, the high spiritual level would be followed by low levels of depression. It was similar to the analysis of self-esteem and depression. An existence of the negative relationship between self-esteem and depression similar with some of the opinions, that depression was influenced by a section of code namely low self-esteem. It was shown with the p-value = 0.008 (p <0.05). The patients which have high self-esteem mastering the feeling to respect himself, therefore, it could bring up the positive attitude in the patient, as well as could foster confidence.
Hypertension caused damage to the brain's blood vessel endothelium. Resulting in platelet aggregation which was subsequently released by excessive serotonin and adrenergic hormones caused blood vessels vasoconstriction. The blood vessel constriction caused the intracranial blood supply to decrease. Resulting in ischemia was as an authority for cerebral vasodilation and headaches occurred. The elderly were the last life cycle stage for someone who was a risk with hypertension and headache. The study aimed at looking at the effect of health promotion with a family approach to lowering blood pressure and headaches for elderly. This research was an experimental study with a randomized pretest and posttest control group design (in the form of a community trial). The research was conducted for four months from June to September 2018 in Selemadeg Subdistrict, Tabanan. The sampling technique was random sampling. The sample number on the treatment group and control group were 590 people. Data analysis used the Mann-Whitney test and Wilcoxon sign rank test was a significance level of p-value <0.05. The results showed on the treatment group before and after the intervention was obtained the p-value = 0.0001 on systolic and diastolic pressure data as well as the headache level. P-value <0.05 showed there were significant differences before and after health promotion with a family approach. The conclusion that there was an effect of health promotion with family approach to blood pressure and headache in the elderly. It was suggested the health workers promote more promotion of the healthy living community movement through health counseling and distributing brochures to the community including a balanced menu and exercise. Therefore, the healthy, productive, and prosperous elderly were realized.
