This study used quantitative data and used secondary data sources, meaning that data were obtained, collected and processed from other parties. In this study, the hypothesis testing of the effect of financial architecture (included the dimensions of ownership structure, capital structure and corporate governance) and intangible assets on financial performance and corporate value using path analysis was performed.FindingsThe results of this study have provided findings that follow the research model that has been built (1) This research has been able to provide a theoretical model of the influence of financial architecture (with dimensions of ownership structure, capital structure and corporate governance), intangible assets, board processes on financial performance and company value in the Indonesian capital market. (2) To develop a theoretical model about the effect of corporate governance on financial performance in accordance with the two-tier system adopted by Indonesia. (3) An empirical study of the concept of financial architecture put forward by Myers (1999).Originality/valueThis research update lies in the research variable, which determines one value of the financial architecture variable comprehensively, combines the financial architecture variable and intangible assets to then be tested for its effect on company value and the use of the financial process variable as a board process as an intervening variable.

Purpose – We intended to test and compare the durability of Islamic banking and conventional banking during the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia. To that end, we first compared their performance before and during the pandemic. Next, we examined the effects of pandemic shocks on the performance of each of them.Methodology – The data covers 80 banks in Indonesia, which were divided into four groups, namely Islamic and conventional commercial banks, and Islamic and conventional rural banks. Each group consisted of 20 banks. Our observation period is 10 quarters, which was divided into two periods, namely the period before the pandemic (Q1-2019 – Q1-2020) and the period during the pandemic (Q2-2020 – Q2-2021). For comparison, we used a paired sample t-test, while testing the effect of shocks using a panel regression model.Findings – Islamic banking outperformed conventional banking, both before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. The Covid-19 pandemic has predominantly shaken conventional banking indicators and has only slightly shaken Islamic banking. However, this does not mean Islamic banks were superior to their conventional counterparts because both were shaken, it's just that conventional banks experienced a bigger shock than their Islamic counterparts.Originality – This is an original study that examines and compares the performance between Islamic and conventional banking using financial ratios during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Covid-19 pandemic that is happening now is affecting the economy. This study aims to examine changes in the supply of consumer goods to Bali from outside Bali in the Indonesian territory and changes in the per capita consumption of the Balinese population, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Two events were observed, namely the first event was the announcement of the first positive case of Covid-19 in Indonesia, and the 2nd event was the determination of the status of a national disaster by the Indonesian government. Data analysis was performed using a different test with the SPSS v.23 program. The results of the analysis found that there was a difference in the supply of consumer goods to Bali from outside Bali and the per capita consumption of the Balinese population in the first and 2nd events. The supply of consumer goods and per capita consumption decreased significantly after the announcement of the first positive case of Covid-19 and then further decreased after the Indonesian government declared a national disaster status. The determination of the status of a national disaster has a greater impact on reducing the per capita consumption of the Balinese population than the announcement of the first Covid-19 patient. As a result of Covid-19, it is hoped that the Bali Provincial Government needs to make policy breakthroughs to encourage the fulfillment of consumer goods needs in Bali independently so that they do not always depend on supplies from outside Bali. The Covid-19 pandemic has reduced people's income and reduced buying power, thus demanding people to be smarter in managing finances, including adjusting consumption patterns according to the priority scale of needs.
