The updated data for the ground-state-to-ground-state α-transition half-lives in 401 nuclei and the α-capture cross sections of 40 Ca, 44 Ca, 59 Co, 208 Pb, and 209 Bi are well described in the framework of the unified model for α decay and α capture. The updated values of the α-decay half-lives, the binding energies of nuclei, the spins of parent and daughter nuclei, and the surface deformation parameters are used for the reevaluation of the model parameters. The data for the ground-state-to-ground-state α-decay half-lives are also well described by the empirical relationships.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
