The word stoma means the opening of a surgical mouth, when there is a need to divert the normal transit of food or elimination temporarily or permanently. The intestinal stoma has several reasons that lead to the need for its manufacture, among them: rectal colon cancer, inflammatory bowel diseases, abdominal injuries due to trauma and perforations, among others. The individual with an ostomy is subject to immediate or long-term postoperative complications, even if the stoma is temporary, affecting the person on several aspects. The objective of this study was to identify the main complications of intestinal ostomies and their impact on the lives of these individuals. To this end, an integrative literature review was carried out with a qualitative approach, carried out by consulting the Scielo and Lilacs databases. The following descriptors (DeCS) were used: "Colostomy", "Postoperative complications" and "Surgical stomas". These were combined using the Boolean operator and. The criteria adopted for inclusion of articles were: articles published from 2013, in the languages: Portuguese, English and Spanish, available and free. The following were excluded: Monographs, theses, reviews and duplicate articles. A total of 2566 articles were found, using the combination of descriptors, after applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria 64 articles remained, these were subjected to a previous analysis of their summary, leaving 10 articles to compose the present study. There was a predominance of complications related to surgery, (50%) followed by complications related to peri-stoma skin (30%) and complications related to the lack of professional guidance in the preoperative period (20%). It is concluded, therefore, that the incidence of complications in intestinal ostomies not directly related to the surgical act, evidences the individual's adaptation process regarding the care with the stoma and peri-stoma skin, having as aggravating the lack of monitoring of trained professionals during the preoperatively and continuously in the following phases.
Objective: To describe data on domestic violence against men. Method: This is an integrative literature review, carried out in the Scientific Electronic Electronic Library Online (SciELO), LILACS, and Capes Acadêmico portal between the years 2015 and 2020, with articles published in Portuguese, English and Spanish. 456 articles were found, of which 8 were selected and used in this review. The results showed that the man is also a victim of domestic violence suffering physical, psychological and sexual aggression. The aggressors are wives, mothers, sisters and daughters. Among the men attacked are husbands, brother children and sometimes the father himself. Men who are victims of domestic violence do not seek justice for two reasons: a) they do not believe that legal measures are taken, b) a complaint would expose them to society, which would be humiliating for them. Another important data from the results shows that the Maria da Penha Law, which supports women who are victims of men's violence, is not applicable when the actors are the same, however, the roles are reversed. Final considerations: Studies on this theme are scarce, which suggests the realization of new research as it is a subject of recognized scientific and social relevance. Keywords: Gender-based violence. Domestic violence. Genre. Man.
In 2009, the Ministry of Health published the National Policy for Integral Attention to Men's Health (PNAISH). This policy calls for holistic attention and attentive to the singularities of health behaviors inherent to the male audience. However, the presence of men and the services offered are still meaningless when compared to other priority populations in Primary Care. To analyze male behavior in relation to primary health care services and recommended by PNAISH in the perception of Nurses. This is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. Data collection took place through a semi-structured interview with Nurses of the Family Health Strategy (FHS) in the municipality of Itaitinga in the state of Ceará-Brazil. Data analysis was done based on Bardin (through coding) and the discussion in the light of the available literature. From the interviews conducted, two categories can be inferred from the light of the pertinent and updated literature: 1) Search, presence and access of men to the health service offered in Primary Care; 2) Factors involved in health care provided to the male population. These categories guided the understanding of how the reality of attention to men's health has been experienced. It is concluded that there are several obstacles that need to be overcome so that good practices in human health are feasible. For that, health practices and intersectoral and transdisciplinary discussions are needed to promote the singular approach and the individualized reception of men in health services. In order to develop together with the male population, the deconstruction of gender stereotypes that conceptualize them as invulnerable beings, provide open spaces to speak about their weaknesses and needs, having their demands welcomed and resolved, in order to approach and insert men in primary care services.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
