Due to the bioactive compound contents of medicinal plants, they display significant biological activity that enables them to be used in food and pharmaceuticals. Quantitative analysis of biologically active compounds of Syringa vulgaris L. flowers was defined by LC-ESI-MS/MS. Hesperidin (0.33 mg/g extract) was determined as a major product. Moreover, naringenin (0.197), chlorogenic acid (0.101), o-coumaric acid (0.056), salicylic acid (0.045), and sinapic acid (0.04) were determined as a high concentration in methanol extract of Syringa vulgaris flowers.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
