The strains CCAP978/6A, CCAP 979/8, CCAP979/14, and CCAP979/15 were mixed up in the Culture collection of algae and protozoa (CCAP) and these cultures are all the same culture, presumably CCAP 978/6A. These strains were obtained from CCAP after the mix up happened, but before they were removed from the catalog. As a consequence, the following modifications to the article are needed: Page 480, Abstract, lines 16-19: "The analyses suggest that the genus Storeatula is an alternating morphotype of the genera Rhinomonas and Rhodomonas and that the family Pyrenomonadaceae includes some species that were described multiple times, as well as novel species." should read "The analyses suggest that the genus Storeatula is an alternating morphotype of the genera Rhinomonas and Rhodomonas."
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
