Scientific literacy is used as the primary goal in science education because it is considered to be used to prepare today's generation. Aspects of scientific literacy consist of the concepts, processes, and attitudes of science that can be used in people's daily lives, a picture of the success of science education carried out by each country. However, this ability has not been trained optimally through the process of learning science in Indonesia. This research aims to increase students' scientific literacy ability through contextual collaboration learning based on ethnoscience. This study used a quasi-experimental research method with a pre-experimental design that involved pretest and posttest of one group. This research has been conducted in the Chemistry Education UNDIKMA Mataram for the number of research subjects as many as 31 students. The instrument used is multiple choice tests to measure the achievement the content and process of science students while attitude scale to measure students' scientific attitudes. The results showed that the achievement of content, process, and science attitudes of students overall has increased in the medium category. This means that the effect of contextual collaborative learning based ethnoscience the capacity of scientific literacy in content, process, and attitude of students.
Adapun yang menjadi focus penelitian ini yaitu (1) Mekanisme perencanaan perpustakaan di Daerah kab, Gorontalo, (2) Pengorganisasian perpustakaan di Daerah kab, Gorontalo, (3) Layanan pelaksanaan di perpustakaan di Daerah kab, Gorontalo dan (4) Evaluasi layanan perpustakaan pengelolaan perpustaakan Daerah Di kab, Gorontalo. Adapun yang menjadi tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk megnetahui secara mendalam tentang pengelolaan perputakaan daerah kab, Gorontalo. Dalam penelitian ini, penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dimana penlis berpesan sebagai instrument utama dengan Teknik pengumpulan data (a) observasi, (b) kuesioner dan (c) dukumentasi sehingga data ini benar-benra di kumpulkan dengan akurat dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan peneliti. Berdaasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh hal-hal sebagai berikut: (1) Mekanisme perencanaan perpustakaan di Daerah kab, Gorontalo memiliki hasil yang baik dengan kategori baik dalam memberikan pelayanan kepada masyarakat, mahasiswa dan peesertadidik, (2) Sistem pengorganisasian perpustakaan di Daerah kab, Gorontalo memiliki hasil yang baik dengan kategori baik dalam memberikan pelayanan kepada masyarakat, mahasiswa dan pesertadidik, (3) Layanan pelaksanaan pengadaan bahan pustaka perpustakaan di Daerah kab, Gorontalo memiliki hasil yang baik dengan kategori baik dalam memberikan pelayanan kepada masyarakat, mahasiswa dan peserta didik dan (4) Evaluasi layanan pelaksanaan perpustakaan di Daerah kab, Gorontalo memiliki hasil yang baik dengan kategori baik dalam memberikan pelayanan kepada masyarakat, mahasiswa dan pesertadidik
Escalated by mid-January 2020, the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic is having a profound effect on all aspects of society, including the education activities in higher education. Colleges and universities globally are taking various actions to contain the COVID-19 outbreak. These efforts are mainly to secure the well-being of their students and staff, as well as members of their communities. Due to the increasing number of infections has prompted a number of universities in Indonesia to participate in the fight against the virus outbreak. This article provides an overview of the role played by Indonesian universities dealing with COVID-19 pandemic and how Indonesian universities serving the public good for COVID-19 breakthroughs. The research problem of this study focuses on how the strategies developed by the university in responding to COVID-19 and their implementation to reduce the potential consequences of the pandemic impacts. Subsequently, this paper presented the responses of universities in Indonesia in addressing the COVID-19 pandemic. The forms of responses presented in this paper are academic responses, research and development responses and social community services responses. Furthermore, a conceived information of the issues and challenging of involving of universities in collaborating on solutions to crises of the coronavirus pandemic in Indonesian context were portrayed. In conclusion, this paper summarizes the contribution of Indonesian universities and its impacts in fighting deadly virus disease COVID-19.
This research is aimed at developing character education management model to empower ethos transformation based multiple-intelligence of junior high school students that covers: Guidelines on its basic concepts, program, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation of character education model. The research applies the model developed by Borg and Gall (2003) that covers these five steps: (1) analyze the book model products of education character management that will be developed, (2) develop initial products, (3) apply expert validation and revise, (4) conduct a small scale field trial and revise the products, and (5) apply a large scale field trial and finalize the products. These are the results of the first year research: (1) developed Book I Draft on Basic Concepts of Multiple-Intelligence based Education Management; (2) developed Book II Draft on Multiple-Intelligence based Character Education Program Model; (3) developed Book III Draft on Implementation Guidelines on Multiple-Intelligence based Character Education; and (4) developed Book IV on Monitoring and Evaluation Guidelines on Multiple-Intelligence based Character Education Management.
This paper aims at presenting the experiences on the use of Teleconference as a medium of teaching secondary school pupils new information on different subjects they discovered in international learning environment. This activity is carried out by Indonesian students who study abroad e.g. students who study in Germany, Japan, Canada, Australia and USA. This paper will also analyse the feedback from the beneficiaries of the teleconference program, to gather opinion about the prospect, challenges in the administration, organisation, and the pedagogy implication of the use of information communication and technology in schools in Indonesia. The author will also give suggestions or recommendations on the best strategies of improving the use of information technology in schools. This is important to further promote and establish the e-Global-learning-system in Indonesia.
