The report presents some results of Magnolia × loebneri cultivation in the Botanical GardenInstitute FEB RAS (Vladivostok). In the climatic conditions of southern Far East of Russia, M. × loebneri showed significant winter hardiness and stable abundant flowering, exceeding the characteristics of parental species (Magnolia kobus × Magnolia stellata), as well as high resistance to diseases and pests. In this regard, it seems very promising to include M. × loebneri in the assortment of ornamental woody plants, used in landscaping and develop its introduction tests in Primorsky Krai.
