Inter-island freight transport costs in eastern compared to western Indonesia are relatively high, caused by operator charges for roundtrip fees. In order to make the distribution of freight efficient, the network of freight transport needs to be rationalized on a regional basis. The output from the regional model counts are few and far between in relation to intercity traffic volume data, and the disaggregate model at a regional level requires more effort in conducting travel route surveys. Therefore, aggregated analysis is preferable initially, based on the traffic volume and the commodity flow for inter-island freight transport. The accessibility and connectivity of the land use can be obtained from the freight distribution model as a measurement to evaluate different land use scenarios and also to provide feedback for land use modeling, as a parameter for freight location choice. With a freight distribution model to identify freight commodity supply and demand in a particular region, potential freight transport generation uses such variables, which consider generalized transport costs. Using the Furness and Maximum Entropy models, the results indicate that Furness model finishes in the 4 th iteration and Maximum Entropy in 6 th , while the negative exponential function offers the best calibrated estimation, using sea freight movement data. It was also found that the positive value of β means that any increment of travel time decreased the rate of freight flow, which mirrored the conditions in reality: the higher travel costs, the fewer the number of flows between zones. The data is analyzed in the context of modeling intra-city freight flow in the archipelagic region of northern Maluku.
The purpose of this study is to determine and identify the effect of warehouse infrastructure and spare parts procurement on ship operational performance with the effectiveness of ship maintenance as an intervening variable on ships owned by PT Mitrabahtera Segara Sejati Tbk in 2020. Methods of data analysis use linear regression analysis, simple correlation, partial or simultaneous and path analysis. Based on the analysis and discussion, it shows that there is a significant positive direct effect of warehouse infrastructure on the effectiveness of ship maintenance, there is a significant positive direct effect of spare parts procurement on the effectiveness of ship maintenance, there is a significant positive direct effect warehouse infrastructure on ship operational performance, direct positive which is significant the procurement of spare parts on the operational performance of the ship, there is a significant positive direct effect of the effectiveness of ship maintenance on the operational performance of the ship, there is an intervening effect between warehouse infrastructure on the operational performance of the ship through the effectiveness of ship maintenance and there is an intervening effect between the procurement of spare parts on vessel operational performance through effective ship maintenance on vessels owned by PT Mitrabahtera Segara Sejati Tbk.
Services are vital for transportation and logistics activities. In the context of sea transportation, services can facilitate shipping activities and determine the satisfaction of shipping stakeholders. Hence, the purpose of the study was to determine the effectiveness of the Foreign Ship Agency Notice (FSAN) Directorate of Marine Traffic and Transportation Management Information System (DMTTMIS) e-service in increasing the satisfaction of shipping companies through trust among national shipping companies in the Indonesian Territory in 2022. The study used a survey method. The sample is 130 shipping companies taken by random sampling from 250 companies. Data analysis used descriptive statistics and path analysis inferential statistics. The results show E-service of FSAN DMTTMIS has an effect on shipping company satisfaction, trust has an effect on shipping company satisfaction, FSAN DMTTMIS e- service affects trust, and FSAN DMTTMIS e-service has an indirect effect on shipping company satisfaction with trust mediation. The conclusion of the study is that the e-service FSAN DMTTMIS has an indirect effect on the satisfaction of shipping companies with trust mediation so that the satisfaction of shipping companies can be increased through improvements to FSAN DMTTMIS e-services and trusts.
