The effects of White Ginseng and Fermented Ginseng on liver damage induced by 60 Co r-ray irradiation were investigated. To one group of ICR male mice were given in White Ginseng(150 ㎎/㎏/day for 7days, orally) before 5Gy(1.01Gy/min) dose of 60 Co r-ray irradiation. To another group were given in Fermented Ginseng (150 ㎎/㎏/day for 7days, orally)before 5Gy(1.01Gy/min)dose of 60 Co r-ray irradiation was investigated. Radiation irradiation group were given with saline(0.1 ml) and 5Gy. Contrast group were given with saline(0.1 ml). The levels of H2O2, catalase and MDA in liver tissue were measured. In Fermented Ginseng (FG+Rad) group and white Ginseng(WG+Rad) group than irradiation group(Rad), the catalase level were significantly increased, and the catalase levels were appeaWhite at radiation protection. It was significantly decreased to MDA and H2O2 level to Fermented Ginseng (FG+Rad) group and white Ginseng(WG+Rad) group than irradiation group(Rad). Therefore, Fermented Ginseng and white Ginseng were very excellent protector on radiation of liver in mice.
This study is a research based on the non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design whose purpose is to examine the effects of music therapy on the anxiety of patients who take the Intravenous Urography test and their feeling of discomfort during the test."The first hypothesis that the experimental group who receive music therapy will be lower in score for anxiety during the Intravenous UrographyI test than the control group who do not was supported because after the therapy, the experimental group was found significantly decreased in that score in comparison to the control group. "The second hypothesis that the experimental group who receive music therapy will be fewer in vital signs after the Intravenous Urography test than the control group who do not" was rejected in terms of both systolic and diastolic blood pressure. But the same hypothesis was partially supported because the two groups showed a significant difference in pulse rate after the test. "The third hypothesis that the experimental group who receive music therapy will be less in the feeling of subjective discomfort during the Intravenous Urography test than the control group who do not" was verified to find that the two groups were significantly different from each other in the feeling. Specifically, there was a significant difference between the two groups in only one sub-area of that These findings suggest that music therapy could be an alternative method which can effectively reduce the state anxiety of patients during the Intravenous Urography test.

The selective transport characteristics of K + and Na + of cell membrane model which irradiated by 60Co γ -ray was investigated. The cell membrane model used in this experiment was a Na+ type sulfonated copolymerized membrane of styrene and divinylbenezene. The initial flux of the ion was increased with increase of both H + ion concentration. In this experiment range(pH 0.5-3, temperature 15-65℃), first, the selectivity of K + and the ratio K+/Na+ of membrane which was not irradiated was about 1.06 -1.13 and second, that of K+ and the ratio K + /Na + of membrane which was irradiated was near about 0. And the driving force of pH of irradiated membrane was significantly increased about 4-5 times than membrane which was not irradiated. As selective transport of K+ and Na+ of cell membrane model were abnormal, cell damages were appeared at cell.
