Coco fiber press is a method of printing the fibers from coconut coir definition, with many stages of manual handling. Manual tasks done continuously for 8 hours, this can cause musculoskeletal disorders ( MSDs). Thus, the Nordic Body Map questionnaire was used to assess workers' severity against Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs). Based on the findings of the 12-person Nordic Body Map questionnaire, it indicates that as many as 8% of workers are at low musculoskeletal risk, 33% of workers are at moderate musculoskeletal risk, and as many as 59% of workers are at high musculoskeletal risk. Analysis of the Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) method shows that the operation of inserting coconut fiber into the press has a very high value of 11 which needs immediate action. Analysis of the Recommended Weight Limit (RWL) and Composite Lifting Index (CLI) methods for multi-task work shows that the CLI value is classified as high risk because>3, it will cause worker physical stress. The REBA score on the task of inserting coco fiber into the press machine decreased to 3 after improvement with a low-risk level.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
