The concept is one of the foundations of mathematics in the study of mathematics, if the concept is given to students not to good, then the result of
learning and understanding of learners in the materials will be reduced.
Mathematical concepts can be supplied with a variety of approaches so that
learners are able to understand the material provided by the teacher, one of the
mathematical learning approach is SLIM-n-BIL. The purpose of this study is to
determine the effect and effectiveness of the approach using Slim-n-Bil to the
understanding of the concept of junior high school math learners. This study used a quasi-experimental methods are implemented in SMP Mahardika with data retrieval through essay questions. Hypothesis testing is performed using the software SPSS 17.0 for windows at significance level of 0.05. This study resulted in two main conclusions, namely; First, there is the effect of the use of the SLIM approach-n-BIL to the understanding of mathematical concepts as tcount obtained for 0.895 less than the 2,000 ttable with Sig. 0.138> ? (0.05); second, SLIM approach-n-BIL effective in improving student understanding of mathematical concepts as values obtained effect size of 0.231.

Learning objectives will achieve maximum results when learning to walk effectively, namely learning that makes it easy for learners to learn something useful such as facts, skills, values, concepts, and how to live in harmony with each other. Learning should not adhere to the paradigm of knowledge transfer, which means the learners just became the object of study. But it should be able to develop all the potential intelligence possessed by learners. Smarts (intelligence) owned by learners who formulated by Howard Gardner, The Seven Types of Intelligence are Spatial-Visual, Linguistic, Interpersonal, Musical, Bodilykinesthetic, sometimes Intrapersonal and Logical mathematical. Then by Bobbi de Porter added one more intelligence i.e. Naturalist. So SOE term SLIM-n-BIL. One of the goals of the development of the double intelligence-based learning method is to motivate students in learning mathematics and have a positive attitude towards learning, mathematics, learning devices in the presence of a developed, learners can be expected to be more active in the learning process, learners can experience the fun of learning. Sehingga hadirlah istilah SLIM-n-BIL.
Uji validitas kedua datanya menandakan rhitung > rtabel (0,396) maka soal dikatakan valid.
This study aims to determine: 1. The effect of numerical intelligence and spatial intelligence on students' mathematical abilities 2. The effect of numerical intelligence on students' mathematical abilities, 3. The effect of spatial intelligence on students' mathematical abilities. The research method used is a survey method with quantitative research on class X IPA Senior High School students of Depok City. The sampling technique was a simple random sampling of 120 samples. The data collection technique was given a test of 20 numerical intelligence items and 20 spatial intelligence items in the form of multiple-choice, while the mathematical ability data were taken from a 15 item test in the form of an essay. Before conducting the hypothesis test, the item validity test for the numerical intelligence test, the spatial intelligence test, and the mathematical ability test were carried out using simple regression correlation. The data normality calculations using the chi-square are declared normal—statistical hypothesis testing with t-test and F test. The results of the study concluded that: 1. There is a significant influence between numerical intelligence and spatial intelligence on the mathematical abilities of students Senior High School students of Depok City, namely f count> f table = 21.81> 3.07; 2. There is a significant effect of numerical intelligence on the mathematical abilities of Depok City Senior High School students, namely t count> t table = 10.00> 1.98; 3. There is a significant effect of spatial intelligence on the mathematical abilities of Depok City Senior High School students, namely t count> t table = 14.80> 1.98
