The unique zwitterionic complexes [Pt{CloH6(NMe2)-8-C, N}{CloH6(NHMe2)-8-C}(X)] (X = Br, CI) with a hydrogen atom bridging between the platinum(tt) centre and the formerly co-ordinating nitrogen (aH NH +15.8 ppm [lJptH 180 Hzl; X-ray structure, X = Br), can be obtained from the reaction of cis-[Pt{CloH6(NMe2)-8-C,N)21 with R2SnX2 (R = Me, Ph; X = Br, CI) in CH2C12-MeOH; in non-protic solvents this reaction gives the isolable P t l V hydride complex [P~{C~OH,(NM~,)-~-C,N}~(H)(X)I ( 6 H PtH -20.35 ppm [ l J p t H 1540 Hz], X = Br).

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
