Cranial fasciitis is a rare variant of nodular fasciitis. It is a benign condition with features resembling sarcoma, seen principally in young males. It involves the skull bones and grows at a rapid pace. Accurate diagnosis and surgical excision is the key to management. Prognosis is good with recurrence rare. By 1992, 17 cases had been reported in the literature. The present case is the first reported in pakinstan. It presented as post auricular mass.
With the increasing urbanization and industrialization around the globe, the problem of air pollution is also increasing exponentially. At one end it is causing depletion of ozone layer and global warming and on the other side responsible for health related issues

Objective: To compare the effect of Triamcinolone versus Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injection intraorally for improving trismus in Oral Submucous Fibrosis (OSMF). Study Design and setting: Randomized double-blind comparative study, conducted at ENT department of PNS Shifa Hospital, Karachi from 1st June 2015 to 30th June 2016. Methodology: Eighty patients with trismus due to oral submucous fibrosis were divided randomly into two groups, ‘A’ and ‘B’ of 40 patients each. In Group A, Inj. Triamcinolone 40mg (1 ml) was injected into the sub-mucosal plane in the retro-molar trigone area and into the fibrous bands along the soft palate on multiple sites, weekly for 6 weeks. In group B Inj. PRP 1ml weekly was administered for 6 weeks along the same site. Vernier calipers were used to precisely measure the Maximum Interincisal Distance (MIID) in cms before and after the treatment. Result: There was a male preponderance in the study group with a male to female ratio of 5.1:1. In group ‘A’ mean pretreatment MIID was 2.3±0.7 cms, while in group ‘B’, it was 2.2± 0.5 cms. After completion of 6 weeks treatment the mean MIID improved in group ‘A’ to 3.08 ± 0.8cms, and in group ‘B’ to 3.22± 0.5cms. The mean improvement in MIID in group ‘A’ was 0.783± 0.25cms compared to 1.01± 0.05 cms in group ‘B’ (p < 0.05). Conclusion: Intraoral injection of PRP is more effective than Triamcinolone in improving trismus due to OSMF
Thyroglossal duct cyst is the most common congenital cervical mass found mainly in children but only 7% of them are among adult population. They are mostly asymptomatic and found around the region of hyoid bone. Their size usually varies around 1.5 to 3cms. but cases are reported with unusually larger sized cysts, which may cause pressure symptoms over upper aero-digestive tract. We are reporting a case of unusually huge thyroglossal cyst of size of 6 x 8 cms in a 26- year-old man. This cyst was not apparent at time of birth or in early childhood but appeared later on. Initially it was very small but progressively and gradually increased to its present size. On first look, it appeared as thyroid swelling with soft to firm in consistency but on examination it was moving with both deglutition and tongue protrusion. Ultrasonography and CT scan of the neck confirmed the diagnosis of thyroglossal cyst. Thyroid scan showed, thyroid gland in its normal position. Sistrunk’s operation was done with a midline vertical incision and the subsequent recovery was uneventful
