Patient safety in hospitals is a global issue and it is important to establish a safer and more comfortablesystem of nursing and health services in hospitals. Nursing care is expected to be of good quality anduseful in preventing incidents of unwanted events that can harm patients and hospitals. The reality inthe hospital even though the socialization and training of patient safety have been carried out by thehospital to nurses and health workers there are still cases of injured patients, patients falling and wrongtreatment. This study aims to determine the relationship of nurse competencies that was nursingstudies, nursing ethics, drug administration and measurement of vital signs with patient safety in PiruHospital in 2017. The type of research is descriptive analytic with design cross-sectional. Theinstrument used was a questionnaire, with a sample of 66 nurses at the Piru Hospital in Seram BagianBarat District. The results showed that there was a relationship between significant nursing assessmentcompetencies, nursing ethics, administration of drugs and the measurement of vital signs with patientsafety, at the Piru Hospital. Therefore nurses' knowledge and technical skills regarding patient safetythrough various socialization and training activities must be improved so that the safety and security ofpatients in hospital services is guaranteed and the hospital image becomes better.

Serious sleep disturbances among elderlies include attention or memory disorders, depression and often fall. A quasi experimental study design with pre-posttest with control group was performed to determine effect of Benson’s relaxation therapy on sleep quality among the elderly, and influences of sex, age anddisease suffered differences. Of a total of 46 elderlies from a Social Institute in Ambon, 29 were taken for the treatment group and 19 for the control group.The treatment group was interfered with Benson’s breathing relaxation for 14 days. Sleep quality was measured using Pittsburg sleep quality index form. Datawere analyzed using independent t-test and multivariate of variance with signifinat level 0.05. This study found that Benson’s relaxation therapy was able toimprove significantly the elderly sleep quality (p-value = 0.046), and no significant difference between sex, age and disease suffered in elderly sleep quality(p-value > 0.05). The Benson’s relaxation therapy was able to improve the elderly sleep quality especially in Inakaka Social Institution.
Background: Stroke is an acute nerve function disorder caused by circulatory disorders on brain, symptoms according to the focal area of brain that is experiencing disorder. The prevalence of stroke increases with increasing in age. Stroke in male groups as high as female groups. The increasing number of people with cardiovascular disease and coronary heart disease (CHD) every year was due to lack of public knowledge about risk factors of heart disease and lack of efforts to prevent the disease. Prevention must be tried as far as possible by controlling the risk factors for cardiovascular disease and CHD. Objective: to determine the effect of health education on the level of knowledge of hypertensive patients about stroke risk in Mosso Village, Maluku. Method: This study used a Quasi experimental design with a pretest posttest with control group design approach. In this design there are two groups, control group and intervention group, with the Probability sampling (simple random sampling with a sample of 47 people with Hypertension patients for each group. Data was collected using questionnaire.
Result: The results was statistically analysis with SPSS (paired t test and pooled t test) and showed a significantly differences in the average level of knowledge after the health education intervention in control group (mean diff. -6,936) and intervention group (mean diff. -6,574) (p <0,0001). Conclusion: It was concluded that health education was an effective method in increasing the level of knowledge of hypertension patient about the risk of stroke in Mosso village, Maluku
