This paper presents data on the representation of women at 98 philosophy departments in the United States, which were ranked by the Philosophical Gourmet Report (PGR) in 2015 as well as all of those schools on which data from 2004 exist. The paper makes four points in providing an overview of the state of the field. First, all programs reveal a statistically significant increase in the percentage of women tenured/ tenure-track faculty, since 2004. Second, out of the 98 US philosophy departments selected for evaluation by Julie Van Camp in 2004, none in 2015 has 50% women philosophy faculty overall, while one has 50% women who are tenured/tenure track. Third, as of 2015, there is a clear pyramidal shape to the discipline: Women are better represented as Assistant than Associate and as Associate than Full professors. Fourth, women philosophy faculty, especially those who are tenured/tenure track, are better represented at Non-PGR ranked programs than at PGR ranked and PGR Top-20 programs in 2015.1. See, e.g., blog posts on www.beingawomaninphilosophy.wordpress.com. 2. We do not take this, in any way, to be an endorsement of the Gourmet Report's methodology or rankings.3. We look at PGR Top-20 versus PGR programs in order to understand whether the apparent differences in the proportions of women are statistically significant and to go beyond on existing The State of the Discipline: New Data on Women Faculty in Philosophy • 843
The article is devoted to the problem of the search and generalization of the values, which allow making an objective assessment of the efficiency of agricultural land use. For the whole period of the existence of humankind land resources have been the basic condition of its survival and further evolution, as they are a natural platform of production of all material goods. The final values of the work of agrarian sphere are in dependence to the efficiency of agricultural land use, being both the subject and the means of labor for agricultural organizations and enterprises. Nowadays the question of the efficiency of agricultural land use has been studied widely, but the importance of the further research and the improvement of this aspect remains, as the stability of the agricultural production is directly proportional to the presence and efficiency of the agricultural landholdings use. However, for the improvement of the efficiency and results rating of land use in the agricultural sector it is necessary to use the systematic approach, implying the application of the methodology of its assessment on the basis of generalizing, complex, integral value, used as a consequence as the assessment criterion to build the rating of the agribusiness organizations of the region with the aim of making reasonable management decisions. The materials of this research are the data of annual fiscal (accounting) statements of agricultural producers of the Kurgan region, being in published sources and on the official sites, as well as the materials provided to the authors upon their request. In the conducted study such methods have been used as the analysis and comparison, methods of generalization and statistical analysis. While writing this article, economic statistical analysis of the agricultural land use of Zauralie has been carried out. Moreover, the algorithm of rating construction of households with the aim of effective agricultural land use has been elaborated. The innovation of the research is in the fact that the questions of the improvement of efficiency and results rating of land use in the agriculture have been studied on the basis of systematic approach, implying the application of the methodology of its assessment of generalizing, complex, integral value; the necessity of the use of the complex integral value of economic efficiency of agricultural land use is stated as the assessment criterion to build the rating of agribusiness organizations of the region with the aim of making reasonable management decisions; the influence of economic efficiency of agricultural land use on the financial results of activity of agroorganizations is shown.
Most researchers adhere to the opinion that food security is the ability of the state, independently from other states and international organizations, to provide its citizens with safe and quality products that are enough for an active and healthy life. At the same time, sufficient food selfprovisioning of the state increases the level of national security and ensures independence from other states. Achieving an optimal level of food security always relates to the need to level out and eliminate the consequences of various threats and risks. Threats to food security often arise simultaneously with a decline in revenue of most of the population, poorly developed social infrastructure, imbalances in the development of the agricultural and industrial sectors of the economy, etc. These positions define the research topic, the relevance of which is determined by the current implementation of food security and the identified problems of its provision.
