Glassy carbon electrode coating poly(acrylic acid) immobilized covalently with 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperydinyl-1-oxy was characterized electrochemically and a similar modified carbon felt electrode was utilized successfully to electrocatalytic oxidation of nerol.
Recently, the blood-feeding monogenean, Neo heterobothrium hirame, have been recorded in both wild and cultured Japanese flounder, Paralichthys olivaceus, in Japan.1-3) In spite of the harmful effect of the para site, no treatment method has been developed. We preliminarily examined the effects of freshwater, forma lin, Marine Sour SP-30 (hydrogen peroxide solution) (Katayama Kagaku Kogyo Kenkyujyo, Osaka, Japan) and 3% (w/v) NaCl-supplemented seawater on the adult and immature parasite. The NaCl-supplemented sea water treatment was the most effective against the immature worms on the gills. We conducted this study to examine the effects of 3% NaCl-supplemented seawa ter bathing on the parasite in vitro and in vivo. Materials and Methods Effects on immature worms on the gills
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
