Mutual funds are considered as the best investment option because they offer a higher return with little risk. The study’s main aim is to evaluate the performance of selected large and small cap equity mutual fund schemes. The performance has been analysed in terms of return and risk using risk-adjusted performance measures. The present study is descriptive and secondary data has been collected from the website of BSE, NSE and Mutual funds. The analysis shows that “HDFC Top 100 Fund - Growth Option - Direct Plan” is top large cap mutual funds scheme and “Tata Small Cap Fund-Direct Plan-Growth” is top small cap mutual funds scheme among the selected funds as per Sharpe, Treynor and Jenson ratio.
Reduced toxicity and better atmospheric stability have made Cs2AgBiBr6 double perovskite material a promising photo-absorbing material to replace lead halide based perovskite in solar photovoltaic applications. In this work, for the first time, a novel low-temperature method for the synthesis of lead-free Cs2AgBiBr6 double perovskite ink, using a salt solution of the constituents of Cs2AgBiBr6 at a temperature of as low as 50°C, has been reported. X-ray diffraction study confirmed the presence of Cs2AgBiBr6 double perovskite crystal structure and a UV-visible absorption study was done to calculate the band-gap. Particle size analysis showed that the particle size, in the prepared ink, lies in the range of 700-1000 nm, while scanning electron microscopy was done on a spin-coated substrate to examine the microstructural features of the ink. The present work will help develop a low-cost and simple method for the development of the double perovskite ink further.
Background and Aims: The aim of this study was to assess the predictive value of different variables including the Model of End-stage Liver Disease (MELD) scores in hospitalized patients with spontaneous bacterial peritonitis (SBP) and its correlation with adverse outcomes. Methods: A cross-sectional study of 73 patients diagnosed with cirrhosis, ascites, and spontaneous bacterial peritonitis admitted to a gastroenterology department from February 2010 to November 2012. MELD scores were calculated using laboratory parameters and the United Network of Organ Sharing (UNOS) internet MELD tool. Results: Categorical variables and mortality status were analyzed for association by chi-square test. MELD scores and all-cause mortality were found to be positively correlated. Mortality was higher among the groups with MELD scores greater than 15. Upon stratification of the groups by mortality status, only age and urea level were novel and consistent predictors of mortality. Conclusions: In this Nepalese sample of cirrhotic patients, MELD scores along with age and urea level were confirmed as significant predictors of mortality. scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
