Students of the Faculty of Engineering are an integral part of Indonesian students, as engineering science principles can be used as an educational social control of development, contribute to the government to build the nation state, and provide solutions to problems in the country. Movement of organizational dynamics within the campus led to the birth of Student Activity Unit (UKM) as a forum for student activities to develop interests, talents, and expertise of its members. Activities undertaken in the Student Activity Unit (UKM) always use the lecture schedule to reduce the burden in lecturing activities. Students who choose between activities in the student activity unit or college. Students who engage in inactive learning activities. The purpose of this research is to know the relation of the students to Student Activity Unit (UKM) and learning activity with Cumulative Achievement Index. This research is a descriptive research with correlational study type to explain the formulation of the raised problem. Respondents were all students (31 people) majoring in mechanical engineering involved in a student activity unit (UKM). The method used in this research is total sampling. The results showed a positive and meaningful linear relationship between the Student Unit program (SME) and Grade Point Average (GPA) students of Mechanical Engineering University of Medan.
This Community Service activity aims to explain the use and benefits of the Mendeley application to prospective teachers. This activity was carried out for two days from 5-6 June 2023. The stages of this activity consisted of the preparation stage, the implementation stage and the evaluation stage. The community service activities that have been carried out have succeeded in increasing the knowledge and understanding of participants in using and utilizing the Mendeley application for writing scientific papers.
This research aims to determine whether the problem-based learning model can improve student learning outcomes in the subject of automotive engineering basic work in class X Automotive Body Repair Techniques (TPBO) SMK N 2 Depok, Sleman Yogyakarta. This type of research is Classroom Action Research through 2 cycles where there are four stages carried out, namely (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3) observation, and (4) reflection which leads to an increase in student learning outcomes. The subjects in this Classroom Action Research were class X TPBO SMK N 2 Depok even semester students. Based on data analysis and results of Classroom Action Research (CAR), it can be concluded that based on the results of student learning tests in cycle I, 8 students (25%) completed their studies, in cycle II, 29 students (90.62%) completed learning by obtaining a value of ≥ 75. Based on the results of observations of student learning activities in the first cycle, 18 students (56.25%) were in the less active category and decreased in the second cycle to 4 students (12.5%). Thus the results of the study indicate that the problem-based learning model can increase student activity and learning outcomes in the basic competence of maintaining measuring instruments in the subject of automotive engineering basic work in class X TPBO students at SMK Negeri 2 Depok, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
