The magnetic properties of polymers prepared by polymerization of the magnetic cluster Mn 12 O 12 (acrylate) 16 with various portions of ethyl acrylate as co-monomer are reported. According to SAXS studies, the clusters are homogeneously distributed in the polymer. Ac susceptibility measurements show superparamagnetlike behaviour of the cluster-crosslinked polymers with relaxation following an Arrhenius law with t 0 ~4-8 6 10 28 s and an energy barrier in the range 45-65 K.
Reaction of [Ti 7 O 4 (OEt) 20 ] with benzoic acid results in the formation of the new cluster [Ti 6 O 4 (OEt) 14 (OOCPh) 2 ] with concomitant rearrangement of the cluster structure. The molecular structure of the new cluster was determined by
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
