This classroom action research aims to know how to apply the cooperative learning method of TPS type to enhance the student's achievement of the class XI MIA.2 SMA Negeri 3 Model Takalar. There are four stage of CAR, (1) planning, (2) action, (3) observation and (4) reflection. The research was done in two cycle. The result showed that TPS learning method could enhance the student's achievement of class XI MIA.2 SMA Negeri 3 Model Takalar, there are 7 steps are: (1) explain the learning purpose and linking the learning materials with that have been studied previously; (2) giving problem to the student who solved individually by providing the time of think for 15 minutes; (3) Grouping students in parallel and share the results of discussions within the group as a cross; (4) share the group discussion result to the other group by short presentation; (5) provided the test to the students in the form of essay is done by individually to test its capabilities; (6) given the reward in the form of compliment to every student who has the highest score; dan (7) asked the student to summarize the learning result according to the learning purpose. The student's achievement for cycle I is 62.13% incomplete. The student's achievement for cycle II is 87.06% complete.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mutu terbaik mie kering rumput laut yaitu rasio rumput laut dan terigu 3:7 dengan daya patah 37095,2650 mgf, kadar air 9,7% dan nilai uji organoleptik warna 2,3; aroma 2,3; rasa 2,4 dan tekstur 3,4.Kata kunci: Eucheuma cottonii, Rumput Laut, Mie Kering, Daya Patah ABSTRACT Seaweed (Eucheuina cottonii) is a source of carrageenan which has a function acts a gelling agent in food. This research aimed to find the best ratio between seaweed and wheat flour in the production of dry noodles from seaweed, indicated from the fracture potency and the organoleptic quality. This research was an experimental research including sample preparation and the quality test of dried noodles. The Quality test including fracture potency test using tensile strenght, moisture content and the organoleptic test including color, aroma, flavor, and texture. The results showed that the best quality of dry seaweed noodles achieved in the ratio between seaweed and wheat flour of 3: 7 with the fracture capacity 37095.2650 mgf, the moisture content of 9.7% and the organoleptic test value : color of 2.3; aroma of 2.3; flavor of 3,4 and texture of 2,4.Keywords: Eucheuma cotonii, Seaweed, Dry Noodle, Fracture Potency
Silver nanoparticles act as anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory. On the other hand, some plants contain reducing agents. Therefore, it is deemed necessary to know the potentiality of plant extracts such as green tea leaf extract on the synthesis of silver nanoparticles. The Methanol extract of green tea leaves serves as a reduction of AgNO3 solution. Determination of the optimum reaction time in forming nanosize using UV-Vis spectrophotometer every 30 minutes. Characterization of nanoparticles obtained using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and particle size analyzer (PSA). The results showed that green tea leaf extract was able to reduce Ag + to silver nanoparticles at a reaction time of 90 minutes, the temperature of 70°C. Morphology is not uniform, tends to aggregate, and the size distribution of silver nanoparticles is 82.33-740.89 nm with an average diameter of 157.8 nm.
Usnic acid is chemical compound commonly found in lichen. These derivatives compounds both from the synthesis and from the isolation of various lichens have been studied as antibacterial, antifungal, antiparasitic, antiviral, and anticancer. Usnat acid derivative with not hydroxyl group on carbon C-3 was isolated from lichen usnea sp. taken from the Sinjaiselatan described in this paper. Its bioactivity against Arthemia Salina Leach. LC50 value of 19.49 μg/mL.
This study aimed to find out the antibacterial and cytotoxic activity of n-hexane, ethyl acetate, acetone, and ethanol extracts from macroalgae Halimeda cylindracea that was collected from Gulf of Boni. The antibacterial activity was evaluated against Stapilococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, and Salmonella typhi with the Kirby Bauer method. The cytotoxic activity was evaluated with a Brine Shrimp Lethality test. Extraction was performed successively with n-hexane, ethyl acetate, acetone, and ethanol for 3 x 24 hours with maceration method and evaporated with a rotary evaporator to obtain dry extract. Antibacterial activity was evaluated by inhibition zone where the cytotoxic was observed by LC50 value of each tested extract. The result indicated that ethyl acetate extract showed active to all bacteria test which acetone extract was active against S. aureus and E. coli, n-hexane extract was active against S. aureus, and ethanol extract was not active to all bacteria test. N-hexane, ethyl acetate, acetone, and ethanol extracts of macroalgae H. cylindracea were toxic toward Arthemia salina Leach with moderate toxicity category with LC50 value 134.90, 281.84, 338.84 and 295.12 µg/mL respectively.
