The y-rays following the radioactive decay of 16~ into 16~ have been studied. The Lu source was produced in the 144Sm(19F, 3n) reaction at 85 MeV. Excitation functions, half-lives, 7-Y and y-X-ray coincidences and conversion electrons were measured. Two /3 + decaying states in 16~were found with half-lives of 36.2(3)s and 40(1)s. 16~ levels deduced from the decay of 16~ are presented.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
