Smoothed tables of the odubiHty of CuCl In aqueous HCI and aqueous NaCi from 0.01 to 6.0 M and from 0 to 100 OC are presented. Similar tables are given, for 25 OC only, for mixtures of HCI and NaCI, and for solutions In aqueous KCI, NH,Ci, CuCI,, and Feci,. The procedures and parameters necessary for calculation of the solubility at other concentrations and temperatures are given. Slmple methods for handling solublitty in complex mlxtures and in cases where experimental Information Is scant are discussed.
Techniques have been developed for measurement of the transference numbers of aqueous copper sulfate solutions by the moving boundary method. Copper acetate is used as the indicator substance. The methods have been tested rigorously by standard methods. The results are in agreement with the (rather inaccurate) values obtained many years ago by the Hittorf method.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
