BACKGROUND AND AIM: NAVA is a novel automated invasive ventilation weaning mode, which provides proportional assist, improves patient-ventilator synchrony (PVS), and may reduce sedative use. Currently, improvement in clinical outcome with NAVA is uncertain and UK adoption is variable. We aimed to assess NAVA availability, current practices, willingness to participate in research, preferred primary outcome (PPO) and minimum important difference (MID) of a future RCT, amongst UK pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) clinicians.METHOD: An online questionnaire was sent to lead consultants and nurses in 24 UK PICUs in August 2021, requesting one response per PICU.
