SUMMARY
A Study of fifty‐six cases of polymorphic light eruption has shown that the action spectrum frequently lies in both the long ultraviolet wavelengths (320‐400 nm) and the short ultraviolet wavelengths below 320 nm.
The treatment of calcinosis by chelation in two children with dermatomyositis is described. The amount of calcium in skin, muscle and fascia was chemically determined before and after chelation in one child. The amount in fascia was strikingly less after chelation than before chelation, though still elevated. Neither child showed clinical improvement. Treatment of calcinosis with chelating agents might be more effective if the drug were given over more prolonged periods.
