Spiitergebnisse bronchoplastischer LungenresektionJos6 Mollinedo und Dieter Krumhaar Lungenklinik Havelh6he, Berlin
Late Results of Bronchoplastic ResectionsSummary. The report deals with 31 bronchoplastic resections. The indications were carcinoma (25 cases), benign strictures (5), neurogenic myoblastoma (1). In the authors experience all main bronchi can be anastomosed, and up to now they have performed 10 different anastomoses. Chromium catgut was by far the best suture material: this caused no extensive granulations or foreign body reaction, and no suture mycosis. There was no need to cover the anastomosis. Postoperative motality was zero. Late results are good: 20 patients are still alive from I to 6 years after the operation (6 benign cases). Regular checks by bronchoscopy showed good healing and no stenoses.
