In the modern world, knowledge is treated as another resource necessary for the development of civilization. An important element is information, thanks to which you can update knowledge and thus create a compendium of knowledge. Knowledge and its organization is particularly useful in construction. The article proposes a knowledge map, which is a record of domain knowledge. The fields were designated there, and the fields were assigned elements of importance in the life cycle of the building.
The construction industry is an important sector of the economy in Poland. According to the National Labour Inspectorate (PIP) data of 2014, the number of victims of fatal accidents in the construction sector amounted to 80 as compared with 187 injured in all other sectors of economy in Poland. This article presents the results of surveys on the impact of construction worker behaviour on the occupational safety and health outcomes. The surveys took into account the point of view of both construction site management (tactical level) and construction workers (operational level). For the analysis of results, the method of numerical taxonomy and Pareto charts was employed, which allowed the authors to identify the areas of occupational safety and health at both an operational and a tactical level, in which improvement actions needed to be proposed for workers employed in micro, small, medium and large construction enterprises.

Bezpieczeństwo i ochrona zdrowia w pracy podczas realizacji procesów inwestycyjnych w budownictwie nabiera coraz większego znaczenia. Procesy, podczas których powstają obiekty budowlane charakteryzują się wysokim poziomem zagrożeń dla zdrowia i życia uczestników biorących udział w realizacji przedsięwzięcia budowlanego. Zagrożenia te są skutkiem niewłaściwego projektowania, realizacji obiektu budowlanego i jego użytkowania, warunków pracy, dużą zmiennością warunków atmosferycznych oraz zachowań pracowników wynikających z obowiązujących wymagań prawa, zasad i kultury bezpieczeństwa pracy lub pominięcia zagadnień szeroko pojętego bezpieczeństwa związanego z obiektem. W artykule przedstawiono znaczenie etyki zawodowej w zapewnianiu i utrzymaniu właściwego poziomu bezpieczeństwa i ochrony zdrowia w życiu obiektu budowlanego.
