The concentration of manganese per gram dry tissue weight was determined in samples from 39 areas of 8 normal human brains. Manganese was shown to be unevenly distributed with the largest concentrations in the pineal gland and the olfactory bulb. The gray matter yielded a higher content of manganese than the white matter. Significant differences between individuals were found for identical areas of the gray and white matter of the cerebral cortex. Higher levels of manganese were demonstrated in the tail of the caudate nucleus than in the body and the head of the same structure. No significant correlation was shown between the amount of manganese in brain and age.

Identical areas of the grey and white matter of the cerebral cortex showed significant differences between individuals. In the caudate nucleus the highest concentrations of copper were found in the tail followed by the body and the head, respectively. A negative linear regression between age and brain copper levels was demonstrated.
Design and Methods: Data from the literature are reviewed to give expert views on the clinical diagnosis, differential diagnosis and pharmacological treatment of hypertensive crises.Results: Hypertensive emergencies are those conditions with critically elevated BP (SBP>200, DBP>120 mm Hg) and evidence of acute target organ damage (hypertensive encephalopathy, acute MI, pulmonary edema, dissecting aortic aneurysm, intracerebral hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage, acute ischemic stroke, eclampsia, acute renal failure, phaeochromocytoma, vasculitis and clonidine withdrawal).
La inteligencia artificial se presenta en las realidades sociales del mundo postmoderno como un fenómeno complejo que tiene usos y aplicaciones múltiples en casi todas las actividades humanas, lo que presagia en un futuro próximo su implementación continua y general en los dominios de la política, la cultura y la economía. En consecuencia, el objetivo de esta editorial es describir algunas implicaciones de la inteligencia artificial para la humanidad. A modo de conclusión se patentiza que en las próximas décadas muchas actividades laborales, intelectuales y de trabajo fisco, van a ser desarrolladas por robots inteligentes de forma satisfactoria incrementando el desarrollo sostenible y el tiempo libre de las personas para el esparcimiento y la formación, no obstante, no debe suponerse que todo lo concerniente a la IA es siempre bueno y constructivo y que, por lo tanto, debe asumirse acríticamente sin el desarrollo de un debate polifónico que venga a develar todas las aristas del fenómeno, de cara a potenciar su conocimiento profundo y la reflexión sistemática sobre este tema.
