The structures of N4-tetraacetyl-d-glucosidosulfanilamide and N4-dglucosidosulfanilamide have been confirmed by direct synthesis, and experimental evidence has been presented to show that the glucósido residue in the glucoside is on the N4-nitrogen atom.2. Picollyllithium and picolylmagnesium bromide and iodide, unlike their structurally analogous compounds benzylmagnesium chloride and benzyllithium, react with acetyl chloride and wi ethylene oxide in the normal manner. Some anionic forms which may be involved have been considered.
