Essential hypertension has adverse effects on both renal and heart function. There is an underlying relation between CKD (Chronic Kidney Disease) and CAD (Coronary Artery Disease).Patients with CKD has more severe CAD and prognosis of renal function is poor in patients with severe CAD. In the present study we are reporting the utility of 99mTc DTPA (diethylene triamine penta acetic acid) renogram in proving cardio renal association in a patient with AOE (angina on exertion) II, HTN (Hypertension) diagnosed with CAD by
BACKGROUND: Verrucous carcinoma is a unique variant of squamous cell carcinoma, occurring mainly in oral cavity and genitalia. Aim of the study is to report verrucous carcinoma over rare sites. MATERIALS AND METHODS: We have retrospectively reviewed records of patients who presented with ulcers and ulceroproliferative growths of skin and mucosa for past 2 years i.e from 2013 to 2015.223 cases had reported squamous cell carcinoma, of which verrucous carcinoma constituted 10 cases. RESULTS: Mean age of presentation is 50 years. Out of 10 cases 6 cases are from oral cavity and 2 are from tip of penis. Other 2 cases are from rare sites i.e. one from anterior abdominal wall and other one from upper 1/3 rd of left leg. CONCLUSION: Verrucous carcinoma a rare variant of squamous cell carcinoma. Most common sites of involvement are oral cavity and extra oral sites like genitalia, but over leg and abdomen are rare. Wide local excision is the treatment of choice. Radiotherapy is described but proven ineffective.
