Article InfoTo assess the oral health awareness among lawyers and law college students. The objective of the study is to assess awareness and knowledge about oral health among lawyers and law college students. Oral diseases have been a persistent public health problem globally, with almost every individual experiencing poor oral health at least once in their lifetime. Poor oral hygiene occurring due to increasing plaque and calculus deposits with increasing age have been reported among children and adolescents in general population. Oral health affects the general health, well-being and diminishes the quality of life. Chronic oral infections can pose a risk for diabetes, cardiovascular diseases like stroke, respiratory diseases. A questionnaire with 16 structured questions were prepared and distributed among 20 lawyers and 100 law students to obtain the information. The questions were designed to determine the level of knowledge and awareness about oral health. Lack of awareness among public is the reason for gingival and periodontal problems. So this study is conducted to assess the awareness of oral health in professionals.
