Despite its low incidence, the mortality related to it remains high. Seat belt syndrome describes a spectrum of injuries related to the seat-belt use in occupants involved in motor vehicle collusions. These include blunt abdominal aortic injury, intra-abdominal and possibly spinal injuries. Though the eventual consequences may be catastrophic, the initial clinical presentation is frequently subtle. Therefore, prompt diagnostic workup and immediate management should be triggered whenever there is a clinical suspicion for such injuries. Owning to the substantial successful outcomes of endovascular treatment, we believe that it should be accessible to almost all hemodynamically stable patients in the appropriate sitting.We report a case of seat-belt syndrome with abdominal aortic intimal tear and dissection which was successfully managed with endovascular treatment.
