Jan Awrejcewicz graduated from the Technical University of Lodz and become Full Professor in 1997. He authored or co-authored 633 publications in scientific journals and conference proceedings, 44 monographs, 2 text books, 11 edited volumes, 13 conference proceedings, 42 book chapters, 18 journal special issues, and 9 other books. He is a contributor to 50 different research journals and to over 300 conferences. During his scientific travel he visited 60 countries. His papers and research cover various disciplines of mathematics, mechanics, biomechanics, automatics, physics and computer oriented sciences. He is now Head of Department of Automatics and Biomechanics, and Head of Ph.D. School on 'Mechanics' associated with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Technical University of Lodz.
