This article has reviewed the main surgical options for hyperopia and factors that must be considered when choosing the right treatment. The modern refractive technology offers excellent options with the optimal choice of procedure being dependent on the level of refractive error, age of the patient and the unique anatomical factors in each case. Surgeons must perform a complete evaluation and risk-benefit assessment of the individual patient to select the best procedure.
