We deal with financial literacy, because we believe that everyone of us should be financial literate. We used The National Educational Program ISCED 3a Mathematics and we prepared tasks for Slovak students in grade 10. The examined group consisted of students in grade 10 and students in grade 12 of Piarist High School in Nitra and the first-year students of the Faculty of Economic and Management of the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra. Students solved the tasks focused on the ability to compare discount products, calculation of value added tax, calculation of income tax, insurance contributions and net salary. Their knowledge was insufficient. Students knew assess profitability of purchase (problem1), but they did not already know calculate VAT (problem2), income tax, insurance contributions and net salary (problem3).
The main objective of this paper is the analysis of students' math competences via results of the mathematical experiences of students of SAU in Nitra at the beginning of winter term before the graduation of subject "Mathematics" at the different study programs. We performed a test consisted of 5 tasks. We used the National Educational Program Mathematics ISCED 2, ISCED 3A. We have compared the results of tests of respondents and determined whether the differences between study outcomes of students are significant. Our research has examined the impact of gender, type of secondary school and the grade point in mathematics from secondary school to use mathematical tools to solve tasks according ISCED 2, ISCED 3A. The obtained indices of successfulness show a beneficial effect of male gender and graduated secondary grammar school.
SDS-PAGE is widely used to determine the amounts of the different gluten protein types. However, this method is time-consuming, especially at early stages of wheat breeding, when large number of samples needs to be analyzed. On the other hand, LoC (Lab-on-Chip) technique has the potential for a fast, reliable, and automatable analysis of proteins. Benefits and limitations of Lab-on-Chip method over SDS-PAGE method in gluten proteins evaluation were explored in order to determine in which way LoC method should be improved in order to make its results more compliant with the results of SDS-PAGE. Chip electrophoresis provides a very good reproducibility of HMW-GS patterns. Moreover this approach is much faster than the conventional SDS-PAGE methods requiring several hours for an analysis. Another advantage over traditional gel electrophoresis is lower sample and reagent volume requirements, as well as specialized protein standards for accurate reproducibility and quantification. In the present study, we identified novel complex allele located at the locus Glu-1B.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
