Abstract-The enhanced form of client-server, cluster and grid computing is termed as Cloud Computing. The cloud users can virtually access the resources over the internet. Task submitted by cloud users are responsible for efficiency and performance of cloud computing services. One of the most essential factors which increase the efficiency and performance of cloud environment by maximizing the resource utilization is termed as Task Scheduling. This paper deals with the survey of different scheduling algorithms used in cloud providers. Different scheduling algorithms are available to achieve the quality of service, performance and minimize execution time. Task scheduling is an essential downside within the cloud computing that has to be optimized by combining different parameter. This paper explains the comparison of several job scheduling techniques with respect to several parameters, like response time, load balance, execution time and makespan of job to find the best and efficient task scheduling algorithm under these parameters. The comparison of scheduling algorithms is also discussed in tabular form in this paper which helps in finding the best algorithms.
In the realm of interconnected digital world, social ranking systems are readily used in different sections of society, for several reasons. The private and public sectors both are making use of social ranking systems as a tool to engineer human behavior, and crafting a digitally stimulated social control. Online reviews and ratings are one of the significant marketing strategies of online sellers to steer out consumers' opinion and ultimately their purchasing decisions. Buyers usually go through these reviews and ratings while purchasing online product or hiring online services. Online consumer reviews, recommendations for product and services, and peer viewpoints play a significant role in the customer's opinion formation. Different online forums of product reviews, ratings and recommendations differ in their objectives, functions, and characteristics. This paper focuses upon a systematic literature review and comparative study of the influence the positive and negative reviews and ratings of the products, automobile services, movies, restaurants, products and services on OLX & eBay, etc. have on opinion formation. Moreover, how these reviews influence others opinions of buying and using the products, services and apps will be analyzed.
Social interaction forms the basis for social structure and is a building block of any society. The social scoring based on social interaction can become the absolute basis for the person's societal standing. Social scoring systems used for the calibration of human beings can rightly be called Human Social Scoring Systems. The core idea of the Human Social Scoring System (HSSS) is an inspiration taken from a science fiction anthology series named "Black Mirror". Various studies reveal that people check the reviews and scoring by other people before making purchasing decisions, getting services, or downloading various apps. However, in this study, we have used the notion of scoring on human beings instead of products, services, or apps. Such a Social Scoring System can help in opinion formation about others, based upon their social ranking. A good social profile i.e. with high social scoring can depict the credibility and reliability of that person. Our research work is comprised of two hypotheses. The First hypothesis asserts the reliability of HSSS. Whereas the second hypothesis reveals that the opinion-formation of an individual is biased due to numerous social and psychological factors. Different statistical techniques are used for the evaluation of the hypothesis. This entire research was constricted from general human to specific student level. Henceforth, we have designed a high-fidelity wireframe to evaluate the students and getting them ranked based on their personal, professional, and academic behavior.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
