Abstract. The 36-month-long DIDRO project seeks to bring existing developments on remote sensing by drone on the scope of the project: dikes surveys as routine inspection or in relation to a flood crisis. Drone offers a new complementary means of surveying which can map broad areas efficiently while being more flexible and easier to operate than other airborne means. The system shall consist in a drone vector, in dedicated sensors (such as LiDAR, visible, near-infrared and thermal infrared optics), in data processing models with analytics specific to dikes surveying and finally in a GIS capitalizing all appropriate data to dikes managers.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
