The implementation of total quality management is applied to every educational institution as an effort to improve the quality of education. In this case, it is important to carry out management functions in each educational institution. This article discusses the implementation of total quality management in educational institutions to seek to improve the quality of education in achieving a quality standard in education. Every educational institution should show better quality and be able to compete. This is intended so that educational institutions continue to gain the trust of the public and stakeholders. To continue to get this, it must be improved continuously, both physically and non-physically. So as to make a quality educational institution and guaranteed quality. There are several main things that need to be considered in implementing total quality management in the world of education, namely: continuous quality improvement; determine quality standards, cultural change; changes in the organization; and maintain relationships with other agencies and customers and evaluate the system if anything is not appropriate
This study aims to find out 1). Innovative work planning for teachers of SMA Negeri 1 of South Halmahera and SMA AL-Khairaat Labuha, 2). The implementation of innovative work of teachers of SMA Negeri 1 Halmahera and SMA Al-Khairaat Labuha, 3). Supervision of innovative work of teachers of SMA Negeri 1 Halmahera and SMA Al-Khairaat Labuha, and 4). The assessment of innovative work of teachers of SMA Negeri 1 Halmahera and SMA Al-Khairaat Labuha. This study used qualitative approach with narrative research method and the research design used was a multi-site study, where first site is SMA Negeri 1 south Halmahera and second site is SMA AL-Khairaat Labuha where the locus located in south Halmahera district. The results showed that 1). The teachers innovative work planning at the two research sites was compiled through a process consisting of two stages, problem identification and alternative problem-solving option. Establishing teachers’ innovative work development plan and applying the principles of deliberation and consensus, 2). The implementation of innovative work of teachers at the two research sites based on the predetermined work plan and is supported by managerial behaviour in the form of providing motivation, communicating face to face and through the electronic medium such as smartphone and supported by teacher behaviour in the form of being committed to achieving innovative work development goal, 3). Supervision of teacher innovative work consists of three types of supervision which include before, during, and after the implementation of the teachers’ innovative work development plan, 4). The assessment of teachers’ innovative work is carried out through an assessment process consisting of three stages of measuring, comparing, and taking managerial action.
Character education in Indonesia has been a crucial issue for more than two last decades. It has become the state priority in the national education policy for its character education reinforcement programs. This study aims to investigate the character education management in SMA Catholic Seminary Kakaskasen and SMA Lokon St. Nikolaus Tomohon. This is a multi-site study to examine and describe the planning (designing), actualization (implementation), and evaluating and monitoring procedures of their character education model. This study applied a descriptive qualitative approach. The findings indicate effective measures to manage their character education programs.
This study aims to see how youth members are empowered by implementing youth organization management organizations. Organizational management consists of various activities in the form of planning and managing organizational resources to achieve expected goals. The type of research used in this research is qualitative which is a form of research that has the aim of providing an overview obtained from field data collected objectively using the phenomenological type. The research method used is a systematic review to evaluate, evaluate and interpret all relevant research results related to certain research questions, certain topics, or phenomena of concern. The systematic study used in this study used a qualitative approach (meta-synthesis) with a narrative technique. The results of the study reveal that youth members by implementing the youth organization management organization run quite well but cannot be said to be running optimally, this is because there are still a number of things that still need to be addressed and improved. This can be seen from various aspects (1) Strategy planning activities in organizational management and coordination with the plan. (2) Organizing, especially in negotiations with the apparatus of organizing youth activities according to the division of labor and the youth system, requires proper planning in order to carry out effective activities. (3) Conducted through efficient organization and communication maintenance. In an organization it cannot be separated from the contribution of all team members involved. (4) Oversee the areas of responsibility and achievement of youth groups in community representatives, especially youth who are always responsible for carrying out helpful activities. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif yang merupakan suatu bentuk penelitian yang memiliki tujuan dalam memberikan gambaran umum yang diperoleh dari data lapangan yang dikumpulkan secara objektif dengan menggunakan tipe fenomenologis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu systematic review untuk melakukan identifikasi, evaluasi dan interpretasi terhadap semua hasil penelitian yang relevan terkait pertanyaan penelitian tertentu, topik tertentu, atau fenomena yang menjadi perhatian. Systematic review yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu pendekatan kualitatif (meta-sintesis) dengan teknik naratif. This research focuses on the management of madrasa-based education quality improvement strategies in North Sulawesi. The research was conducted at three madrasah, namely Manado State Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs Negeri 1 Manado), Bitung State Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs Negeri 1 Bitung) and Kotamobagu State Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs Negeri 1 Kotamobagu). The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the Strategic Planning for improving the quality of madrasa-based education at MTs Negeri 1 Manado, MTs Negeri 1 Bitung and MTs Negeri 1 Kotamobagu City is carried out by involving all components of madrasas and stakeholders in an effort to improve the quality of madrasa education while still referring to Islamic values as a characteristic of madrasas. The implementation of the strategy to improve the quality of madrasa-based education is realized by implementing work programs in planning for improving the quality of madrasas such as education and training/training, workshops, seminars, organized by the government, ministries and universities. The impact of implementing strategies to improve the quality of education in madrasas can be seen from a number of indicators such as increased learning outcomes, which can be seen from academic and non-academic achievements achieved by students in various activities, and competitions.
